Let's take each CTF map

Have a total bro host all these maps
And let's throw a big celebration for the mappers who made these maps.
Like last time, the goal of this celebration is to focus on giving kudos to the mappers that take the time to make the custom content that we rarely play. The gimmicks, the sectors, the textures, the aesthetics, and the imagination that propels these mappers to go into Doombuilder and create content.
The event will take place throughout the weekend of November 3-4 and the wads will be easily available through Best.Ever. That means that folks should have absolutely no problem using Doomseeker to instantly join the event. The links won't be posted just yet, but that's because I've given some fair warning to some CTF mappers about wanting to touch up their map packs beforehand.

IX-Misc has now been added to map list, and all map packs now have Best.Ever. links to them. Now, anybody can use Doomseeker or this topic to get all the required maps. Thanks for the effort Dayman. I'll just stick to my own links for this event.
I'm still working on securing a host, as well as a few more improved CTF maps from the CTF compo winners. If you've touched up your CTF compo map and want to see people play it this Saturday, post on this topic with your map. The links should be finalized by Thursday, giving everyone a chance to download the map packs beforehand for this weekend.
The plan so far is to have matches go up to a score of 3, or a time limit of 15 minutes. It should give maps enough time to rotate throughout the day, although I'm not sure. I may start the event Friday and split up the map packs into two groups, but I'll talk with the hosts about actually getting a server first.

Best.Ever. only makes servers for Zandronum, since Skulltag is practically dead. And since we're still on v2c, I don't think many players have Zandronum on their PCs just yet. Gonna start talking with a few folks about hosting, and I'm really considering splitting up the map packs between three days. Friday has IX, BestCTFMapsEver, and old compo maps. Saturday has TBGCTF, KCTF, and new compo maps. For Sunday, I'll throw all the maps together and basically have a fun fest. We'll see on Thursday. In any case, you folks should start downloading the map packs.

I'm trying to make it much easier for everyone. Also, not everyone knows how to make Doomseeker automatically download wads.

Also, it's a simple request, really, that could just save everyone time and hassle...

Also, for sake of mind... we should all just have all wads needed on the first post in a little section (for every event forum topic, not just this one)... so everyone can just get everything quickly...

It's best to make things simple and easy for everyone...
