Make use of ZDoom's extended rotations.
« on: June 03, 2018, 01:01:27 AM »
I mean, this is a really absurd suggestion, and if it were to even be considered, it would probably be a far future thing, but such a thing could still be nice to have.

For those that are unaware what I am talking about with "extended rotations", ZDoom and its derived ports has functionality to allow for additional rotations that go past the typical 1-8, these being 9-G, allowing for 16 different rotations for sprites.

Again, I can't see this being done any time soon, (except perhaps maybe for large decorations that aren't already models/voxels, but those would be harder anyway) as there are far more important things to focus on. But it could still be interesting for the far future.

You basically explained why it shouldn't happen. Also for such a small detail it would be quite the filesize bloat.
