The maps are OK, but add variating music. I already know it's a "4 teh lulz" map pack but the music is extremely annoying and repetitive

Copy Robot - Best Maps Ever map pack

There are good maps. There are horrific maps. In a sense, Copy Robot has managed to create both at the same time. Best Maps Ever, a map pack created by Copy Robot that showcases his ideas and skills as a mapper. What most folks need to realize is that behind the simplistic design and new concepts, there's something more.
There's a sense of creativity, a sense of brilliance among all these maps that is quite obvious once you decide to analyze the maps a little deeper. You begin to enjoy the little details that Copy has meticulously included in each map, that helps give off an atmosphere of absolute joy.
In BEST01, it's the amazing little signature that's  in the lower corner of the map. In BEST02, it's Copy's bold choice to include Gemini textures instead of just regular boring textures. In BEST03, it's the giant lanes of spikes that go with the wave man walls so well. BEST04 has the most amazing feature of the entire map pack: Moonwalking dinosaurs. Finally, in BEST05, It has an amazing weapon layout that I'm definitely sure involved thought.
If I could get serious for a moment, I would like to say what makes me enjoy this map pack above everything. It isn't the fact that I constantly lauded Best Maps Ever on Skype. It's because the maps play as they look. That is to say it's big, stupid, hilarious fun. Fun, ladies and gents, that I haven't had in such a long time. It felt like a great refresher to know that there is one person in this community who still wants to just map for fun, instead of try too hard with overly detailed maps and complex item and weapon layouts. Copy Robot stands as my personal idol among the rest of the mapping community, because he doesn't care if the world hates his maps. He just makes what pleases him. And for that, I absolutely love Best Maps Ever.
Why is the score spelled (1)0.0/10? Well, that's because I decided to give the map pack two scores. The first score is my personal score, which is 10/10. The second score is what I'm sure most "critics" would give it, which is 0.0/10. You've done me proud, Copy Robot. Rock on.

Yesterday me and a few others played these maps.....AND THEY ARE FRIGGIN' AWESOME!!!! Why? Because just like BlueBrawl said, these maps where made with FUN in mind. I found these maps so enjoyable! It's hilarious to have easy to reach time stoppers and gravity holds! It's hilarious to have a stage that is based around telefragging! (Which he gives you item 1s and an exit unit!). It's hilarious to have 4 (is it 3 or 4?) Gutman G's all chasing after you at exactly the same time! Seriously Mr. Joe, you have put CREATIVITY and FUN into these maps! And for that reason, the title you have given, sarcastic or not, is actually truthful in a way!

The thing that bugs me is the skyboxes. As a software user, they appear all messy and glitchy, which I think they'd look better if they weren't like that. Also, although the Merry-go-Round theme is good, I think it's used a bit too much. But apart from that, great work! Michael712 approves heavily!

You can stand in the middle of the middle 'A' in BEST01. Don't have to fix that though.

I think comparing these to the more conventional type of map-pack is a bad idea. I don't deny that people can surely amuse themselves greatly with this, and it technically is a pack of maps, but this needs some sort of sub-category to distinguish them from the rest that are more suited to standard MM8BDM, since this obviously focuses on something else entirely.

But ah well. I'm nitpicking.

Note that I'm not neccesarily saying that I think these are bad. I just think that these cannot really be compared to standard maps, regardless of their actual quality, as so many people in this topic is seemingly doing.
