Is this still active? I ask because I was thinking of creating a new duel league for when v3a comes out.

If it is still active, I'll hesitate on this idea.

I wouldn't call it active, but I'm willing to support it if people are willing to use it.

I was going to make a duel league based on what European football's relegation system. Have a few duel leagues going where people could be promoted/relegated after the season ends. It'd go on for several months per season, and would reset after the season is concluded.

This way, people can enjoy games with those relatively close to their skill level, and be rewarded for good play by moving up a league.

I understand that there are several doom2 leagues that use this idea already, and it inspired me to emulate them.

The leagues would run for, say, a six month period, so that everyone would have time to play their games.

MM8BDM doesn't have enough players for "multiple leagues." The only change I would make from this current ladder would be to abolish assigned duels altogether, as Cutstuff clearly isn't prepared for them :geek:

Oh, I don't know. If you made each "division" for 10 people, and we can consistently get 32 people to join for duel tournaments in the past, I think you could have it such that there's three duel leagues.

Besides, OJ, it'd be another good chance for you to beat me down (again), so you should be all for it!

Only having nine opponents for Six months seems a little deterring to growth.

That's just conceptually the basis for it. If we get, say, 45 people to join, maybe I'd make it three leagues of 15 people, apiece.

v3a isn't out yet, so we still have time to debate the shape that the leagues would have.
