Events / CTF 3v3 Tournament: 90% Purple STARTED

WHADDUP PEOPLE OF CUTSTUFF, VENUS AND I ARE GONNA MAKE YOUR BORING ASS LIVES A WHOLE LOT BETTER.

CTF is rising from the dead. While the mapping jam is going on, let's get into some fast pace, high action, quality gameplay.

Welcome to 90% Purple, the CTF tournament that will grab you by the balls and never let go. Find 2 other broheims and form an unbreakable bond that will last a lifetime until the end of this tournament.

This will be a Best of 3 double elimination type tournament, meaning you can lose the first set of matches and still be in the tournament.

Anything Goes / What kind of music do you listen to?

Not sure if a topic like this has been made yet, but I'm going to risk it anyways. I want to know what kind of music you guys listen to. This can be a certain kind of genre, or if you can't think of a genre, you can just post your favorite singer/band/song. You can post video game music as well if you don't like anything else.

I really love rock. I like more heavy stuff, but I like some soft rock as well.

Events / Super Smash Bros. for 3DS Tournament (LET'S SMASH)

WELCOME TO THE SUPER SMASH BROS. FOR 3DS TOURNAMENT. I'LL BE YOUR HOST, WATZUP7856.

As Jdude mentioned in his tournament topic, I would be hosting a Smash Bros. tournament when I feel like it's a good time. Now I think it's a great time to host a Smash tourney because I believe everyone has a feel for the mechanics now, plus Smash Bros. is still fresh. Without further adieu, here are the rules and guidelines.

Before the actual tournament, there will be pools for seeding. The groups for seeding will be randomized once everyone signs up. Everyone will have a best of 3 match against everyone in their group. The rules are the same as the tournament, except that it will be 2 stock with 5 minutes. This makes it so organizing the bracket is a lot easier.

The tournament will be double elimination, meaning if you lose a set, you won't be out completely.

Events / Super Smash Bros. Project M 1V1 Tourney!!!!

Okay so last time things didn't go so well. This time it's gonna be 1V1, so calm down kiddies.

First off, make sure you get the latest version of PM which is 3.02. Make sure it is also the WiFi safe version too.

This will be a double elimination tourney, meaning that you aren't knocked out of the tourney unless you lose twice. All Matches will be played best 2-3, except in the winners finals, losers finals, and grand finals which will be played best 3-5.

Ok so now here comes the rules.

1. All Matches will be played in 4 stocks on 8 minutes.
2. In case of a Stock tie, the person with the lowest percentage wins.
3. All items are OFF
4. You can pick 3 characters (I wouldn't put a limit on this, but because it's online, this makes things simpler)
5. All stages on the first page of the stage select are legal, everything else is banned except for Lylat Cruise, Pictochat, and Kongo Jungle
6. In matches, both players pick a stage, then if it goes to the third match, then both players mutually pick a stage.

NOTE: if you haven't used a character in a match yet, you can switch it out, but you have to notify me first before you use that character.

In case anyone doesn't know, I'm a HUGE fan of Smash Bros., and since there's only topics about brawl, i decided to make a topic about ALL Smash Bros. games. Also, feel free to discuss speculations on the next Smash Bros. for the Wii U/3DS.

I can't wait for Smash Bros. related news on June 11th in the next Nintendo Direct. I personally hope Megaman gets in because of all that moveset potential.

I've been playing the original Smash Bros. recently on my Nintendo 64, and while playing i'm thinking about each characters inclusion. by far the weirdest and most out of place inclusion had to be Ness'. so i'm wondering why a character from an out of place game was in this. well the theory goes like this:

After researching Smash Bros one day, i found out that the original Smash Bros. was intended to be a Japan only game (that's a scary thought). Back in 1999, when Smash Bros. came out, Mother 3 was being developed for the Nintendo 64DD, an add on for the Nintendo 64 which was an ultimate flop, and thus Mother 3 was scrapped (but then later replanned for the GBA). Before Mother 3 was scrapped, I believe Ness was supposed to be a promotional for Mother 3 by being in Smash Bros. It makes sense because the Mother series was really popular in Japan, and plus with a new game coming out, it would only make sense to put in the latest protagonist of the series to promote it (which also might explain why Ness was chosen and not Ninten). His inclusion seems weird in America, but from Japan's perspective, it makes sense, well at least to me it does.
