After the defeat of Sigma's 8th body, his virus was spread... Isolated on the moon, amidst the ruins of the new world he desperately hoped to create. There was no possibility of escape, no way for his virus to seep onto the Earth and achieve form in a new body... At least, not in the 22nd century.

IN THE 21ST CENTURY
Dr. Wily had given up his dreams of world domination after his defeat at the hands of the legendary tournament robot, who had gone on to be sealed in gold in the robot museum. He lived in solitude, disappearing from the public eye so that he could work alone on his greatest project yet in a secret castle that nobody could find. It was then that he felt a calling, a presence of something otherworldly, yet distinctly familiar.
A few weeks later he had returned, attacking the laboratories of Dr. Light and Dr. Cossack in an unexpected blaze of machinery and explosives. Casualties were low and Dr. Wily disappeared as quickly as he had arrived, seemingly only looking to announce his presence and return to his villainous ways. Mega Man was stolen from Light Labs along with a few DLN. robots, whereas Dr. Cossack's lab was mostly unharmed with the exception of the agricultural Robot Master Toad Man, who was stolen. Both doctors were able to escape their laboratories...
It was not long before the good doctors had worked up a plan to end another one of Wily's schemes.
Dr. Light fled to an unknown location, scrambling to protect himself and develop his newest creations for the ensuing battle on Dr. Wily's newest fortress, though he knew not where it was.
Dr. Cossack called in every robot he had to defend his lab, and began to work on the technology he needed to contact the future, to pull their last hope from his native time period so that he could defend the past and ensure the future he lived in was safe.
This grace period was short and fleeting, however, as Dr. Light was located and captured less than 3 days later by Dr. Wily, only getting a chance to create some armour before he was taken away. Dr. Cossack instantly ramped up defences for a similar attack.

Mega Man X and the future's greatest Maverick Hunters (and Vile) were pulled to the past by Dr. Cossack. It is their mission to defeat Wily's robot army, rescue the DLN. and DCN. robots he captured, rescue Dr. Light, Mega Man, and the small band of heroes sent to find him, and ultimately save the future.

So a little bit of backstory behind this map. I really needed a lava map because I hadn't done that yet. My mind raced through potential ideas and other people's lava maps such as Mr. X's CTF stage and such. One stuck in my mind, Bluebrawl's "Lava Lake". But wait, that's not a lake at all! I thought about my second favourite series, Metroid, and how it had fake lava in Norfair. What if I made a REAL lava lake?

Rockman No Constancy
 
Rockman No Constancy is a Mega Man 2 ROM Hack created by IKA originally in 2007 (as you can see above)! It features 8 new weapons and new tilesets for all the robot masters and Wily. This is an expansion for the hack, using its tilesets to create new maps and recreating the weaponry as separate packs that can be loaded together for a full experience.

I'm bored as hell while I have nothing to do, so I started this request thread. What you do is request two Pokemon to be merged. If you don't understand what I mean, here's a Pikachu-Omanyte splice I made in a little under 3 minutes. It's rushed and I don't care.



What you do!
Request two Pokemon. Be as specific or as vague as you like! Cacnea - Kabuto will do, but so will Raikou - Suicine, using Suicine as a base with Raikou's colours and keeping the Suicine rain cloud.

Y'see? Shoot.

This is a seperate topic for the newer mod of Classes that will be an experimentation ground for the developers to try out more classes and test new ideas. It will contain the most recent version of official classes, so hosting this experiment is up to you. Feel free to suggest more classes we can try out! Oh, and don't expect it to be balanced!

For the moment, this topic contains nothing but a list of sprites we will need to begin work.

Sprites needed
Bondman hud and Glue projectiles
Auto hud and MM8 bazooka projectiles
Duo hud and hand projectile (Power Battle and Fighters!)

If you'd like to take any of these sprites on, PLEASE PM ME so that I can tell you exactly what I need for the class!

The Ghoul's Forest / My first experience with GVH

For the first time ever, I ventured outside of my little MM8BDM hole and tried another popular doom mod, Ghouls Vs. Humans which you ALL KNOW. No exceptions!

I gotta say I loved every second, even the creepers in my face.

But recently, GVH has been a bit... on the rocky side. Cutman passed over to Eruanna, who made v3 and seems to have dissappeared. Carthief helped me a lot when I first played, he's a really nice guy and even made his own balance patch. Basically the point of this thread is for someone to notice that GVH seems to be a bit on the dead side, and that Carthief should totally take over. I mean, he has made that point in a few different places. I played his balance patch and it was great. Since there's been so little progress and Carthief obviously knows his stuff I think it would be a noice way to revive GVH.

All of this is coming from a probably unbiased first time player btw ^^

I can't compile ACS for my map, because Sector_SetDamage or whatever isn't defined. I think it's defined in MM8BDM (I'm trying to get lava death messages...) but I obviously need to compile it first

This is pretty obvious but I felt like making this topic after raging at Street Fighter 4 on the 3DS last night. It's a good game! It's got everything the console games have... and figure mode? No, the problem I have with the 3DS can be tracked down to two words.

Lite Mode

What does this do? It means that ANY special move in the game can be bound to a button. This includes things like Raging Demons and even Ultimate Atomic Busters. I'm not raging because this takes skill out of the game, although it certainly does, it's that it's sad to see really good players be beaten by that spamming Guile in the corner. Spam that Sonic Boom + Flash Kick combo all you like, if you ever play the console game or at least pro mode you'll be the worst in town once you actually have to hold back to fire that thing.

Sure, I can use Pro Mode. I do, now. I can even search for other people using Pro Mode!... Nobody. I even tried using Cammy with lite mode and it's incredible how easy it is to just tap Spiral Arrow as fast as you can and Cannon Spike when that gets blocked.

Really, lite mode turns the game from fun, tactics based gameplay into whoever can tap Sonic Boom/Hadouken/Spiral Arrow/Oil Slide the fastest. In conclusion, don't buy a 3DS until better games are out.

I will be going on holiday tomorrow morning! California for two and a half weeks! I'm making this post to explain what to do when I'm gone!

Let's start with the big one : classes. I will be handing the classes project to Korby, Ivory and King Yamato should help him. V4C should be tonight, and I urge Korby to not feel he has to make a V4D or such, he should just work on MM4 and deal out the odd patch if it is really needed. What he does is up to him, but remember to PM the class makers before you change their classes. This includes me! While I may be on holiday, I should be able to get on the internet via hotel wifi on my spare laptop (no slumped, no work) so please don't change any of my classes without permission. For the community, there shouldn't be too much change. Things should continue to go normally, I hope Korby doesn't make any... extreme changes. Ivory and King Yamato should be working with him to test, and help him if he needs it, pretty similar to now. No new classes unless I approve, please! No Roll, no Auto, or they will be DEAD when I return  :twisted:

As for the other things, DTD, you can edit my map as you like. Considering how slow progress is, I'll probably be able to make another map when I return.

Anything else I had signed up for (nothing comes to me for now...) sign me down.
