Saves?
« on: May 17, 2014, 05:09:51 PM »
Hello. My name is Carprillo, and I need some help. I recently downloaded the newest version of the game. (v4)
I wanted to carry off where I was in v3, but I can't find my save game. May I have some assistance?

Have your settings also reset? If so that sounds like you've created MM8BDM in a new folder. To retrieve your old settings (and save) copy the zandronum ini file from your old folder into the new one. If that doesn't help, we can give you a code to put you back where you left off.

Well, I can't even FIND the ini file. Is .ini the extension? If so, yeah no luck.

(( Sorry to be such a bother. ))

It should be called something like Zandronum-*your name*.ini. If you can't find it just tell me how far you got in the campaign.

Hey, if its okay to ask on this thread could you help me out?

I recently had to get my hard drive replaced before the update and I lost my entire save file, if it's not to much to ask, could you give a save file which is at the MM8 boss fight? I really don't want to have to go through all the stages again to play the v4 ones.

THERES A CONSOLE COMMAND FOR SAVES!?!? Thats... a lot simpler than I though. Since when was it like that, because I usually start over my campaign ever time I update (for V2 and V3, I redid it)

Nothing immediately happens.  Go to the stage select machine and move the cursor and you should see all the stages pop up.  You can alternatively just reload lights lab.

I've added an in-depth list of the SaveProgress commands to the wiki here. Here is a condensed version that only shows the beginning of a new chapter.

SaveProgress 0 - Campaign initialization
SaveProgress 1000 - Chapter 1 (Mega Man)
SaveProgress 1010 - Chapter 2 (Mega Man 2)
SaveProgress 1020 - Chapter 3 (Mega Man 3)
SaveProgress 1030 - Chapter 4 (Mega Man 4)
SaveProgress 1040 - Chapter 5 (Mega Man 5)
SaveProgress 1050 - Chapter 6 (Mega Man 6)
SaveProgress 1060 - Chapter 7 (Mega Man 7)
SaveProgress 1070 - Chapter 8 (Mega Man 8)
SaveProgress 1082 - Chapter 9 (Mega Man & Bass)
SaveProgress 1093 - Chapter 10 (Wily Tower)
SaveProgress 1099 - Endgame
