8-Bit Deathmatch Comic
« on: May 03, 2015, 01:41:20 AM »
Hi! I´m Skyraidstar (A new user from this forum) :D

And Im going to present a new idea for the website!

This will be a sprite comic (Like B&G or 8BT) based on the MM8BDM game (That is super awesome). I saw that they made a forum about sprite comics a while ago. But hey! They are random! And they do not have relation with the game ._.

The protagonist will be based on Geno´s OVER-1 sprite, and I will try to use the multiple skins for the game (All skins belong to their respective owners, they worked on  them and they merit credit for it).

I will start the comic next weekend. So be prepared!

Hm. This could be interesting. I wish you luck; Keeping up with a sprite comic can be pretty tough. I've never been able to finish one.

I can't stand those low grade sprite edits.

I have one problem.

When you edited this sprite, you ignored the sprite's pixel size and drew smaller lines over it. The small lines are inconsistent with the original sprite. I'd really appreciate if you would avoid doing that in the comic.

Yeah, that would only be necessary in some moments, but the protagonist will have a serious face all the time. Plus, the lines are just to do a serious expression .v.

The hype of doing the comic inspired me! Today I will release the first strip (It will probably be a bit bad, but I will improve! :D)

Waking up (Chapter 1- Strip 01)

(click to show/hide)

This is the first strip. Our character, Ran, meets Dr. Light.

(The Over-1 sprite was made by Geno (Here on this forum). The sprite is awesome and Geno merits credit for doing it)

Wanna see some examples of minicomics a friend made?

They're based on a sandbox game.

Just a single question.

Will this be based on the Singleplayer mode or the Community?

@zero1000 Yeah, that would be cool

@skully Most of all will be of the Campaign, but I will add a few strips (Or a chapter) based around the users
