I havent seen any topics about this so i dicided to put one up

Here you can discuss about GVH classes (Balencing, ideas or any good addons Ect.)

Well, OK then.

As you all have known, choke and ghostbuster need to get buffed up. I think that choke and GB should be merged with other classes in GvH, but put new classes in Endless War. Eyesore should be OK as a ghoul, but i'm not sure about a human class. Duke maybe?

Other than convenience, what's the point of putting Choke and Ghostbuster in GVH? They will get buffed up (ghostbuster is having a complete makeover) but I'll release it as GVH:EWv2 along with a few map fixes.

Eyesore is a good idea but i think misty would be great as well because he would play very differanly than other ghouls and allow more tactics to be used. (And his fog could support creeper's stealth  :twisted: )

To get new classes in Endless War. It would be cool to get new classes but 5 classes per team and stuff like that would unbalance the whole gameplay but only in GvH, EW would be enough to handle it.

So i think (just an idea) the line-up should be like this:
Humans
Marine, Hunter, Cyborg, GhostBuster (needs buffing up) and 1 human class in EW. (I don't know which one would be fine)

Ghouls
Sjas, Jitterskull, Creeper, Choke (needs buffing up, but not as much as Ghostbuster!) and the EW class would be EyeSore or Misty (Good idea, Possesed)

But endless war HAS two classes. If I wanted to add more classes I'd make a whole new expansion.

For humans y dont u give them a mage? Its classic and you dont have to look around for spirites. He could have his staff which fires little weak energy balls which split on impact (the main ball could do 30 and the burst balls could be 10) and for altfire he could raise his staff and whack with great force doing about 60 damage (so thats his last resort attack)  :)

He could have a spell book as his next weapon. its normal fire would summon a fire trail accros he ground and its altfire could be a charge up attack for a lightning orb. the more you charge it the more damage to main ball does and if he charges long enough it can also have splash damage.

And for his final attck (he will proberly have low ammo (3-5) for this) he could have a meteor staff.  Its normal fire summons meteor from his staff and it does 80 damage on impact and has a small splash damage. and for his altfie (this would take away all his ammo (notsure if it should be for all weapons of just his meteor attack ammo) he makes it rain weak meteors in the sector he attacks in. Mybe each meteor does 8 damage or so. :)

If ur looking for something not yet done y dont  u do a pyro class? He could have a flamethrower or spraycan. And he could also have moltov coctails and gasoline which he could set alight with his other attacks. :mrgreen:

To counter spam mybe make it so the flamethrower could over heat

Also to counter lag use spirites like the ones in aow. (it would stop lag being crazy if you avoid flashy flame spirites like aow 2)  ;)

i think what eyesore will be a choke clone(this isnt super smash bros D: ), but is a good idea, but i like more the idea of misty, she will get a different work in gvh. and about the duke nukem, we need to serious sam, no to duke nukem :D

About the new classes... you do all know that White is working on them and they will be released in the foreseeable future, but not with Endless War. About the current classes... can't say anything that hasn't already been said...

Actually, this has already been done as it is. Pretty much word for word of what you said, it is in Mercenaries v1.9 (Currently in a beta state, so I understand you not knowing).

If there'd be a new Ghoul, then it would probably be Eyesore, seeing as he is the only official Ghoul to not be in GvH yet. For a Human class, I'd probably say Duke Nukem, just so you could inform the Ghouls that you have BALLS OF STEEL. =P But, in all honesty, I have no idea who the new Human would/will be.

Yeah, the idea about Serious Sam instead of Duke, no really, why not?
Take sounds from the SSam game and take a few weapons:
Sniper Rifle
Double Barreled Shotgun
Chainsaw (XD)

About that serious sam idea (i havent played it before) It Sounds too much like marine. So really that would just be a marine clone with a buffed up shotgun and a chainsaw with a sniper rifle.

I dont like the idea cus its just prtty much just a slight change from marine  :-| and it would make lots of people go ghouls when this gets realesed cus they wont be very interested in the serious sam idea.  :(

Edit: Try and think of an idea Thats not similar to other humans  :razz:

Necromancers summon lost souls and curse/poison his enemies.

No souls to summon unless I fake it with a really big attack sequence, and curse/poison should be fairly possible.

Yea, I guess a necromancer would be cool human class, and cursing/poisoning enemies is a more interesting way to fight than the usual "shoot a fire arrow, pause, shoot fire arrow, repeat steps 1-3..."

Well, a Necromancer really seems like someone who would fit in better with the Ghouls... But maybe this is because I'm thinking of the Necromancer from Castle Crashers right now. =P

Well then, since we're on the same page, maybe making a necromancer class won't be so hard.  ;)

EDIT: OFFTOPIC: I love the 'winking' smilie, I use it all the time, hey White, you should get one of those for your forum, can't tell you how many times I've wanted to use it. ;)  ;)  ;)

Cutman isn't the one working on the Classes.

I've been continually dismayed because he is the author of GvH and im the one HELPING him.

Eyesore won't be a Choke clone. He has a new fighting style.

Not DBShotgun, a tommygun or somekind of a machine gun (it would reload!) would be better. Chainsaw was just a joke, a plasma pistol (from Sam 2) would be like a last resort weapon. It would have 6 bullets and it would be reloadable. But i think that the sniper rifle would be OK. Reloadable of course!

As long as there is a necromancer I will be elated. If I had more experience with making classes I would help. I'm sure it isn't ahrd to do. Except for the major problem of me not being able to sprite.

What you did when duke nukem was experiencing errors the first time!

He appeared to crash everytime he was killed/kills an opponent with his weapons.

ESPECIALLY his explosive weapons.

Indeed I will like anything that is going to make the Ghostbuster (and the other classes) more interesting to play or simply make him stronger.  :mrgreen:

maybe someone can start a project of a modification to every class, but what they will be apart of the originals, that will change very well the game style.

Well, time for the great Minus to speak :shock:
The Necromancer idea = awesome, I'm thinking of Diablo 2 so he could have the Teeth ability, say 3-4 teeth, Bone Spear, ripper flag. And maybe a non heat seeking bone spirit (edit: it would be slow, don't worry), like 1 hit kill. All of his ammo/mana would regen by either standing still or killing an enemy. Teeth would cost no mana and would do little damage.

The Pyro class is also nice, I'm thinking his flamer should be like the one on ZDoom Wars. His altfire, yeah, probably the Molotov Cocktail.

I think complete fire based classes are kinda unoriginal, so I would use something completely different. Like a poison gas spewing marine  :p

Well, Chem Sprayer in Renegade, he has a Chem Spray, its tiberium, but it acts as poison, Check. :P

Oh and the GVHCTADDON is pretty good, Jugulum is like a ranged Clowny, except not 1 hit kill, and can teleport back to a spawn point. Dark Priest for humans. He has 2 double barrel shotgun handgun things. 4 shots can kill a Jitterskull. He also has a green fireball throw and a ring of fire.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that those are fan made classes. I for one am looking towards the unofficial/official classes in Forest Fury.

Or just add Leonard from Redneck Rampage. Give him a chicken launcher, and everyone will have fun with him for hours. Even the ghouls will find him playful enough NOT to eat him at first sight! :P

No. Just no. I think Cutty has said numerous times that Yurei will not be an official playable class. And besides, how would she even control? She's practically fully automated.

Off-Topic (Sort of): In my opinion, it should just be Eyesore and Duke Nukem/Serious Sam, and that'd be that for official classes. 14 is sort of too much, don't you think? Perhaps they should be paired together, and released in 4 separate WADs: Eyesore/Duke Nukem, Clowny/Caleb (Or whoever it is), Misty/Necromancer, and the maps.

Off-Topic again: I forget, isn't Clowny basically just an Sjas clone with hardly no sound in the WAD he comes from?
