Title: What Zandronum version should I use to play MM8BDM?
Post by: RifleGod on April 23, 2016, 01:15:52 PM
I don't know if I should be posting this here or if I should post it in another section of the forum but im confused about something.

I have been using Zandronum 2.1.2 for some time but should I use this version? I was looking for updates here: http://cutstuff.net/mm8bdm/ (http://cutstuff.net/mm8bdm/)
I decided to (for the first time) actually read the update and it said it had updated to Zandronum 2.0, not 2.1.2.
So, am I doing something wrong here? XD

Hey RifleGod!

I've moved the topic to Help & Editing, just so if you have other issues other people may be able to find this thread and help!

Version 2.1.2 is the version you should be using! At the time of MM8BDM's last update, the most recent version of Zandronum was 2.0, hence the mention in the update you read. However, by now Zandronum has updated to 2.1.2, and MM8BDM-v4c is still compatible. Every server is using Zand 2.1.2 now, so you'll need that version to play online.

Did you receive any errors or messages in the console when your game was crashing? If you can provide any more details or pictures, I'll bet we'll be able to figure out what's causing the crashes pretty quickly.

NOTHING appeared in the console. That was what I was finding weird.

Well, I was using one mod, Megaman X Singleplayer Classes V2.75. Maybe that? But I thought to myself "It can't be that." but now that I think about it, it probably is. Sorry if I have caused any problems or have wasted your time.

Go rename your skins folder to something else if you're trying to run with MMX Single Player. That causes crashes fairly consistently when the skins folder is running.

Lemme know if that helps.
