Title: Having some trouble with connection

sometimes nothing shows up on the server browser though i know there ARE servers, how? when i wanna play with my friends, they do can find the serv but i can't D:

Also when i'm hosting a server sometimes the server doesn't show up for them for some reason until later on and the ip doesn't work.

Little help here?  :?

If you're using the internal browser, dump it for doomseeker.

For hosting you may need to open your ports, check out the tutorial in the help forum.

i did open the ports, i mean the server works, but only sometimes for some reason

I had this happen to me before too.  I was able to host a server one day.  The next day, nobody could connect and when I checked my port 10666, it was closed.  Two days later, I hosted another server and it worked.  I checked and my port was open.  I never even touched my router settings and I'm 99.999% sure my parents couldn't figure out how to change the settings, nor would they have any reason to.  Spooooooky.

Mine closes at 12am every day.
