Well I know a lot of people (myself included) had problems with the SGCdemo being classified as a virus, luckily I had an ignore button.

I don't know why my launcher is causing so many people's antivirus' to go nuts. It's a simple launcher made in autohotkey.

I suggest updating AVG and trying again.

There's me thinking I know everything and know I've come down with the same problem. AVG updated, still detecting a virus...

I'm using ESET NOD32 and I get nothing when I scan it. I'm going with the AVG sucks theory then

Haha, I found this topic moments before the Devil poked me and Cutman locked up mine. I'm glad I'm not the only one, I suppose.

I feel a little iffy about just ignoring the matter. The demo didn't give me a problem, nor did the last release. I understand that sometimes these programs are bad at what they do [Norton, I'm looking at you.], but I've sort of trusted AVG till now. Do they have a history of failure that I should be aware of?

Are you sure you have updated AVG and updated AVG's virus database?

Btw if you're still paranoid, just take everything out the zip EXCEPT MM8BDM.exe. You can still use Doomseeker to launch the game and find servers

If I press ignore it deletes the files. I literally updated avg a few seconds ago and I need the launcher to use custom content... :(

i had to put 8BDM launcher in exceptions list, now it works :D

Looks like I'll have to somehow create an AVG friendly launcher... Ugh. I don't want to have to install that crap though.
