Title: Problem using "saveprogress" command

So I got my first gaming PC and I downloaded MM8BDM so I could play it. So I tried to use the saveprogress # cheat (in which I replace the # with something like 1110) to go back to the progress I was at. however It says that saveprogress is an unknown command. if someone could help me then I would appreciate it. thanks.

Actually, the proper variable is known as mm8bdm_saveprogress .
