Title: Favorite Robot Master Set?

We have a topic about the Best Megaman Game in our own opinion. How about which game had the best set of robot masters?

Note: DO NOT rate a set for a single robot master.

Personally, I like Megaman 6's Robot Masters the best. It has a large chunk of my favorites. Yamato, Knight and Centaur. The rest were pretty well designed too.

I think it's pretty obvious that I like Megaman and Bass's robot masters the most. Out of all of them, Cold and Burner are my absolute favorites.

You know I would only say MM 8 because of my man Tengu :3

But in terms of a good set of bots, Definetly MM 6 and and a Few from MM 5 ((Gyro, Gravity, Crystal))

though quick man is the best robot master to ever live in all of mankind. ever. im going to have to say megaman 2. MEGAMAN 10! mostly because the robot masters are awesome, every single one of them and heatman is just a zippo.

Gonna go with 3 again. It's got TopMan, SnakeMan, MagnetMan, and ShadowMan, which are all super rad ninja robot masters. Also rad is SparkMan for lookin like a spark plug, NeedleMan for being a fat needle guy, HardMan for being one of the biggest and scariest robot masters, and GeminiMan for having a twin and probably being cooler than the rest of them but I didn't say that.

4 because you have everything! A submarine, pharaoh, digger, vacuum, skeleton, light bulb and toad! As for ring man, well... He's kinda cool in his own way.

Megaman 5 for me ^^

They are original, have a good music/theme and we can have a fun weapon with them.
But yeah, mm5 is too easy...
( the music is VERY important for me XD)

Chargeman is a powerfull crazy train
Stoneman is a crazy version of Gutsman (he jumps and jumps XD)
Waveman is cool, his stage is awesome
Napalmman looks like powerfull warrior as Clashman (the arms), his stage is beautifull.
Crystalman is mysterious (and his weapon is cooool).
Starman have a good weapon (in mm8bdm too XDDD)
Gravityman is awesome with gravity hold and gravity drive, his stage and theme are very cool
Gyroman is fun and his theme is beautifull.

I liked MM9's set the best, excellent usages both scenario wise and combat wise for the expectation of Hornet Man's weapon combat wise due to a small amount of uses and not enough damage to be worth using.

Well, a lot of games have great sets, like 1, 2, and 9, but...

Overall, for me, it's gotta be 7.

Burst rules.  Cloud rules.  Freeze rules.  Junk rules.  Slash rules.  Spring rules.  Turbo rules.  Shade rules.

Yep, every single one of them rule.

Freeze, Junk, Burst, Spring and Turbo may all be among my top 20 or so favorites, with Junk, Freeze and Spring likely in the top 10.  Slash and Shade have those awesome "beastly" designs you so rarely see in Classic as opposed to X, for example, too.  And cloud's just really cool, I love the weather control thing and I love that "thunk" he makes when you hit him with Danger Wrap.

And to top it all off, MM7 has my favorite boss music of all the games, so fighting each of these guys is just that much cooler.

The only thing wich is too bad about 7 is the fact that if you hit a RM with its weakness they do the most silly attacks (exept for slashman)

The 8bit remake pretty much fixed that.
Still MM7 remains my favorite game of all times :mrgreen:

That's one of the coolest things about MM7 though, how they react with such cool cartoony animations to their weakness, and it forces them into a single attack so that you can predict and beat them easily--though for a megaman pro it does kind of kill the fun of it, you can always switch to Mega Buster if that's how you feel.  Or, you can always do hilarious things such as use Thunder Bolt on Spring Man or in many cases a Master's own weapon on themselves in the teleporter room to actually cause the reverse to happen, buff them and cause them to fight even more fiercely.

I would like to see a hack though of them being weak to the weapons but not going for a single attack every time they got hit. Especially cloud man...
Using the danger wrap you can make him fall again even before he uses his weakness reaction attack.

I dunno why but I really like 4's robot masters. Many of my favorite designs are from that game, like Bright Man, Pharaoh Man, Ring Man and Dust Man. Don't ask me why.

I like 4 different sets.

Powered Up set: Mainly because they had a lot of different personallities.

2: Because everyone can remember them

8: Because this was the first game I ever played in the classic series

9: Because they expanded how many bots Light created.

Please do not hate me for saying Mega Man 8. IDK why, but I think the game took advantage of 32-bit sprites and really made personalities stick out. Plus, we get an insane clown, an insane grenade, a tengu WITH THE BOLDNESS OF A TEENAGER, Gutsman + Ice, an epic guy with a sword, a sniper with 2 heads..

..and Astro and Aqua. Oddly can't describe them

i know i'm really fanboyish about megaman 7, but the designs in that game were all great!
i did some reasearch as to what the hell burstmans supposed to be.  :geek: the real life city in japan, edo city, where his stage apparently takes place g to has a big castle.
pretty damn obscure thing to base a robot on! but he's still really cool looking even if he is the easiest one to beat with just the buster
the others were great too, and they had great character models too, love the graphics!

Yep, I gotta say, my MM5 fanboyism doesn't quite kick in hard enough here..  My favorite set has to be MM6 overall.  Why?  

Skis.  
A Turban.  
A 4-legged 'Man' with horns.  
A colorful head dress.  
Two stereotypical warriors.  
And then the other 2 masters which I love the most out of the bunch, even if they don't have any generically awesome feature.

I think I'm the first to say Mega Man 9--not because of Splash-Woman.

Mega Man 9 did a good job of reminding us of our childhood frustration in the old games.  Tornado-Man acts almost exactly like Air-Man used to, Plug-Man's powerful attacks resemble Elec-Man's deadly Thunder Beam, and so on.

My fav is the 5, but i think, the most fun and original is the set of mm6 or 7
6, because they are all fun with good themes
7 because the design is the best here for a mm classic.

Hm, have I posted in this? *Checks* nope, I didn't.

I like MM4, mainly because it has two of my favorites: Dust Man and Bright Man.

Still, you get a giant walking drill, a skeleton, a submarine, a guy with a hula hoop on his head, a toad, and an Egyptian. What's not to love?

My top 3 sets are MM10, MM9 and MM2. You get a little of everything in each set, and the MM2 bosses are in there since they were designed specifically for combat and are all kickass (except for Woodman, who is incredible). The MM5 masters were also combat-built, but for that bunch, only Napalmman and Gravityman have much use, and even then, it's not very fun to fight when they're easy buster-only. Plus, the sets out of my picks are fun to fight against and a good challenge if you want to try to win buster only. Though Crashman does drag on...

MM5 might be my favorte game... But the best set goes to MM2.

AirMan is awesome for being a fan.
FlashMan is awesome for stopping time.
WoodMan is awesome for being incredible packing a whallop.
CrashMan is awesome for blowing stuff up.
BubbleMan is awesome for anti-gravity spikes.
MetalMan is awesome for having a deadly weapon attached to his skull.
QuickMan is awesome just because  :cool:
And HeatMan is awesome for being a lighter.

I guess I prefer MM3's robot master set, mostly because it was one of the sets that took me most of time to beat. I really haven't got any preferences at all anyway, just slide MM3 set a bit above the others

My favorite RM set are either from Mega Man 9 or 10.


I say 10 because Sheep Man is the greatest and nothing will change that but like

9 also had what I felt was the most charismatic set of Robot Masters in the MM games.

I hold a soft spot for MM7's robot masters.

But my overall favorite is MM3 just because of what Archie Comics are doing with them. Plus I like the designs of most of the MM3 masters, especially Shadow and Top.
