Title: Can't beat chap. 2 boss DX (spoilers)

I have waited for the metools to give me the quick boom as well as item 1 but what I can't do is find gut dozer's hit box.
 :?
If anyone knows where to hit this guy please help.

I did.

order of events

1. wait to get item 1 and quick boomerang

2.use item 1 to get on top of him

3. jump and try to hit him with the quick boomerang

(i even went back and tried to hit him right in the mouth and that didn't work)

Destroy the core! -- Er, aim for the jewel on its forehead, though just above the jewel seems to work best.  Once you get Item-1, Quick Boomerang or not, he's totally yours though.  Unlike Mega Man 2, the Mets can't find you if you're on top of the Guts Dozer.

It was the core? For some reason I thought it was the mouth... Probably because of the idea of making the gutdozer eat quick boomerang is amusing.

yea i always have autoaim on and it never worked on this guy.oh well guess ill have to use my poor aiming. thanks guys.

Picking up Item 1 and Quick Boomerang is pointless.  Here's what I do.

1) Get close to him so his shots go over you. (Obviously, don't get too close and die)
2) Aim for the jewel.
3) Fire constantly.

Optional
4) Continuously jump so you dodge some of the mets.  Even if you don't do this, odds are Guts will die long before you will.

Boss defeated!

thanks but i did it the normal way anyway :p
