Do something nice ya get backstabbed... all I'm saying anymore.
-
tl;dr version:
Hide, then run in circles while firing your mega buster at the zombies. that's all you need to know about surviving in Roboenza.

Yes, that worked for me. For four seconds.
-
1) Use Water Wave
2) ????
3) Virus contained
*Note that Crash Bomb and Screw Crusher are acceptable substitutes in the event that Water Wave isn't available

Then you did it wrong. Or there was like, 30 people.
-
12. Don't kill innocent Flashmen
-
I found out that hiding is also a good strategy againts the zombies. Going in a spot where people and zombies oftem dont look at or dont know about. I survived completly by hiding in Chargema stage and only one zombie found me and i hited him a few times with Yamato Spear and whent to go for another hiding spot
-
-.- I am NOT accepting those "Spam water wave" answers.
Some zombies are smarter than you think. Running around in circles while spamming mega buster will just get you infected.
-
Only if you do it wrong.
-
*sigh* people here are stupider than I thought. <.<;
Tried to make something detailed to help people and they just spam shots with crossed eyes...
Well then. Guess that means more zombies for me to frag.
-
pssh, like you can avoid 2 zombies.
-
I've avoided 5 actually. o.o At once.
Charge kick is a life saver.
-
yeah, so it's a specific weapon that allows you to survive.
-
when has this turned into an arguement on skill? <.< I spent hours working on this unofficial guide and people are just pissing on it.
-
*tinkle*
-
it's just one person(me), and complicated stuff makes the game less fun and entertaining. sometimes it's fun to save a friend who then saves you. Two people are better than one, especially when your against 5 zombies.
-

So you're saying spamming water wave doesn't work? That's funny, because last time I checked it was pretty damn effective.
-
It's NOT FUN for the zombies, X!!
-
It's a Roboenza survival guide, not a Roboenza "Survive but don't hurt the zombie's feelings" guide.
Also, I've found shutting off the lights while on the highest part of the outside area of Bright Man's stage to be a very very effective strategy, I have no idea why you said don't do it.
-
Hide in small holes and spam rapid fire weapons to push the zombies back
-
What about my strategy of hiding. It works most of the time
-
Mostly because I've been at the bottom when the lights went out. <.< And people fall off pits or get infected because they dont know where they're going.
2D That dont help, they'll find ya.
Yellow, That may be good... But you'll run out of ammo eventually. Then they'll get ya.
-
Zombies will always win if there's more zombies than survivors.
-
I'm sorry, since when could a newb tell people how to play?
-
I don't know.
-

Then don't be at the bottom of the stage. Survival of the fittest.
If they find you and you've got a rapid fire weapon, you're still set for quite a while. Plus, if you're like me, you plan an escape route in the event that somebody finds you. However, if you have Pharaoh Shot, you're pretty much unbeatable (however, I don't recommend it because that's beyond cheap).
-
Now I never said to follow it STRICTLY...
... they're more like guidelines.
-
Pretty lousy guidelines, then. You say stay alone yet then you say keep in contact with others. I'm assuming if you mean "keep in contact" you either mean "be in a group" or "chat". Being in a group is nice but likely to screw you in the end and chatting is a sure fire way to lose. Plus, quite frankly, a lot of the guidelines are obvious.
Also, choke points are very effective and I recommend using them...provided you have an escape route.
-
Yellow, That may be good... But you'll run out of ammo eventually. Then they'll get ya.
You've got 3 W-Tanks, for god's sake.
-
ugh. I'm done arguing with you.
You guys are unable to appreciate what someone's done... -.-
Here I am doing something nice and helping newbies and you guys are ripping it apart.
MIKE! Lock this thread! My work's been WASTED!
-
You explain some common sense and some things that just happen when you play the game a lot, not really that much work...
-
To me, the reason why this is fundamentally flawed is that most of the time, Roboenza is pretty much just the "fight or flight" response. Nobody's going to think "what did I read in that guide again?" when faced with a horde of zombies, they're going to do what comes naturally.
-
I Will not approve of "Zomg spam crash-bombs!" or other crap like that. That takes the fun out of the game for the zombie side.
I disagree and do approve of spam. It makes humans less predictable and sometimes more dangerous.
Now there are various ways to handle a Roboenza zombie. Fight at a LONG distance or run from the zombie.
Now now, when there are more zombies around it's more dangerous. You gotta take a few out and you're not going to snipe with any weapons. If you have magnet missile, then you're wasting W-tanks and Dive missile does hardly any damage anyway.
If Fighting is a no-choice type of situation, try to use your weapons as a Deterrent. Or if you have a good weapon, such as the Quick Boomerang, try to force the zombie into tight spaces and let em have it with the boomerang. The rapid shots should "Shove" the zombie away... but it's also noisy, possibly attracting other zombies.
Quick Boomerang is not a good weapon. It's too weak and close ranged.
There are many ways to take a zombie on or to deter them. Here's are the basic rules my suggestions for zombie survival.
Fixed.
3. Do NOT set up traps, they may backfire. Many people have had bright ideas to use the terrain against the enemy. For example, using choke-points and unleashing torrents of Yamato Spears, Crash Bombs, Metal Blades and the like. However, there's always that one zombie that WILL get around the choke-point and infect everyone else. Do not be like these people.
Don't set crap traps. Set advanced traps. These don't backfire.
6. Dont be a Hero! Another big one. If you see another survivor under attack by zombies, dont rush in to save them. You're out to SURVIVE. Not kill as many as possible. If you rush in guns blazing, soon you'll be another shrieking bot as well. May be heartless... but try to assist indirectly, like launching an explosive in their direction to probably thin out the horde.
And where's the fun in that? Also, fighting a guy on his own is far easier than 2 but it's it's a moron, then an easy frag.
8. AVOID using un-needed weapons. The Top Spin may be the deadliest weapon out there... but it takes many hits to kill a zombie and only one to drop YOU. Avoid using weapons that require you to be literally up against a zombie. Star Crash is one such useless item. Only use it if you're being chased and they're close on your heels. Top spin is simply... Inefficient. It disorients the user, allowing a zombie to get close and infect you.
I like to use top spin when the zombies are focusing on someone. I creep up behind them and then they die.
-
Everyone has their own methods of taking down enemies.
I just suggested mine...
...
why do I bother being nice to anyone.
-
Well, if they're your suggestions, why did you call it the UNOFFICIAL Roboenza Survival Guide? It should be "RenegadeX5's tips for Roboenza".
-
Everyone has their own methods of taking down enemies.
I just suggested mine...
It's because you tried to act like a Roboenze guru but you're so far from it.
-
I fucking give up...
-
I actually think it's a neat guide and a very cool concept for a thread, though you shouldn't take these guys playing around and giving their own advice as such an insult. A lot of them are just trying to help or improve the guide in their own ways, or messing around in a non-insulting way!
But I really heavily disagree with some of these, especially the "don't group" thing! Yeah, if a group of smart humans all split up and each of them are good on their own, like, Turbo and Celebi or something, it could be a good idea, but generally I think that sticking together is a good thing, as long as you make sure to keep aware of your teammates at all times and make sure not to get creamed if one gets infected. Really, one person with Water Wave is dangerous, but 4 people with Water Wave can make it literally impossible for a zombie to do anything (which is very cheap, but extremely effective).
And I think "being a hero" is fun and cool and adds to the feel of the mode. It might be dangerous, but I'm not gonna stop doin' it. Also, what DTD said about Top Spin...
though I disagree with him that Quick Boomerang is a bad weapon. It may be weak and short-ranged but in Roboenza if you're good at aiming it can stunlock any zombie that gets too close.
-
finally, SOMEONE Gets it...
And you're right, I may need to revise it. I prefer to stay alone than be in a group. [Past experience with idiots blocking the path erks me greatly.]
-
I've got a suggestion to add to the guide:
If some poor sap is running away from a zombie and is running towards you either run or get out of the damn way.
I've lost count of the amount of times I've been infected cause some dumbass who isn't afk or chatting has stood in my way and not moved.
-
Renzo I feel your pain. *pats*
I've had too many dumb idiots block my way and I end up infected.
-
Renzo I feel your pain. *pats*
I've had too many dumb idiots block my way and I end up infected.
i feel you on that :geek:
-
I've gotten infected because as I was running away while firing at the zombie chasing me, I ran into an afk player.
-
It's even worse in crowded servers where you get blocked, infected, and raped by whatever spam weapon the masses have. All because the zombie got too close, and you were being blocked.
Sometimes it's always worth it in large games just to let someone become infected so they lose the stun immunity.
-
That's why I suggested a PUSH Feature so you can shove other zombies/players out of the way...
-
That would lead to serious trolling.
Like on Toad Man's stage. "LOLPUSH DOWN THE HOLE YOU GO" "nuuuu!"
-
Hm, got a point there. <.<;;
Plus Mike said he'd be turning the knockback force down in the next Roboenza update.
-
Water wave...if it's only one person using it I'm totally fine with that, but being gangraped by 6 people with waterwave is impossible to escape. That happened to me..about 4 times...*sniff*
-
I really don't thiink it's that big of a problem. Mainly when there's too many people on (i.e. mega cool story, full to capacity, on roboenza) and a lot of tight hallways. A push function would hardly help since usually it's an issue either A) from you running backwards and hitting someone you couldn't see, so push wouldn't have saved you or B) it's for a brief second running into someone in a hallway and in the time you could click to push you'd have already untangled from each other.
Besides, being able to push the one poor zombie with stun immunity would be a little mean.
-
Hm. You guys got good points...
But still it aint good if people block you... *is revising the guide as he goes*
-
"LOLPUSH DOWN THE HOLE YOU GO"
"nuuuu!"
Hilarity.
-
Here is what I do.
Video Clip Starts:
KKSliX:OH GOD ZOMBIES!
Zombies:Resistence is futile join us.
KKSliX:Screw that! I will become TrackAndRunMan
KKSliX starts running in circles
Zombies:...What...
:Video Clip ends.
See how that works!
-
Due to the number of people scorning said guide... I will be deleting it. Nobody appreciates anybody else's work...
-
Sorry we didn't bow before your mighty guide.
-
I NEVER SAID TO OBEY IT! It's here to help people learn new tricks. God damnit you guys are not understanding anything I'm trying to say!!
To everyone who helped me, thank you.
Mike, do us "ALL" a favor and delete this thread. It's doing nothing but gathering dust.
-
itt renegade takes things too hard and mr. x recognizes and exploits this
i really think it'd be fine to leave up. even if a few people disagree, there actually are things that could help newbies, the disagreements just show it's not the end-all-be-all perfect guide and that they can feel free to try their own strategies.
-
Yes, we wouldn't have been so hard on you if you hadn't have continually ignored useful strategies and tips we were suggesting.
-
Already removed the guide. It's too late to bring it back up...
and as for your strategies... you kept saying "Run in circles!" and "SPAM WEAPONS!!!" when it will certainly backfire at one point...
everyone has their ways of success and I have mine... I am SUGGESTING tips for newbies and people trying to practice.
-
A) I never said run in circles.
B) Since when is spamming weapons not effective in Roboenza? It's a survival guide, spamming Water Wave is very effective.
If you were SUGGESTING tips, you shouldn't have called it the UNOFFICIAL guide. It should have been RenegadeX5's tips.
-
I called it UNOFFICIAL because it's Not Set In Stone.
I'm actually glad some people appreciated the guide... but unless they copied it, it aint coming back up.
-
That, and you said you'd take suggestions, but when we gave suggestions you just kept saying "I'm not going to add that because I don't do that". I mainly mean like the lights in Bright Man's stage. You wouldn't say turn out the lights because you don't like when the lights are off, yet it's a very effective strategy.
-

in fact, yes. That pwns me every time. Once I got chased by an infected but forgot that THE SIDES HAVE PITS TOO! O_O
-
Failure indeed. The fact that you'd get so pissy when you BROUGHT this upon yourself. This thread isn't a failure. You were. Next time, take suggestions. No offense, but you did seem to reject everything everyone said. It's your own fault.
-
No one failed anything. Sorry this got so disruptive; I won't delete it, but I will lock it.
