This is my thread with experimental maps I'm making in it. I hope you enjoy it.

So essentially the layout is a rectangle with a death pit in the centre...

Well you've mastered detailing but the layout looks really dull.

Yeahh. This idea for an "open" layout worked in my head, but not in application.
It's kind of a failed experiment.

How is it failed? Have you tried this online yet? I can see potential for cover so give it a go online before labelling it a waste of time.

Permission to add this to the wiki?

Sure, go ahead. I mean, if someone else likes this map, so be it, but I'm a huge self-critic  :p
Of course I'm still looking at this open-stage nature concept but I'm probably just going to make a whole new map rather than try to do anything else with this one.

That river is a pain in the ass, rush coil won't reach the middle making the item ones the only way to get the flag or cross and even then centaur flash could knock them back while crossing. Besides the river in general it's a good map.

Sakugarne can do it too, I thought it was really the only convenient way.

Tested it out online and this map has a lot of potential though.

I highly suggest adding more "stones" and making the river easier to cross in general and you could have a pretty playable map.

I knew the biggest problem people would have would be with that stupid river  :p  Really the idea was to have much more defined "sides" to the map by creating a barrier which is not easily crossed and easily guarded, similar perhaps to an IRL capture the flag game, where teams usually remain on their respective sides because until they cross the border in the middle they can't be caught, so you have to be more organized and strategic as a team. But, this river doesn't appear to be a very ideal way to carry out this idea. I haven't done any Skulltag mapping before, really, and I'm still mucking around with this concept, but I've not yet found a way to implement this in a more practical way. Getting closer though!
Also, @NSP7, I don't believe Centaur Flash is in this map?

I think a difficult-to-cross river in itself isn't a bad idea, this just needs to throw the players a bit more of a bone

This is a good challanging map, but I wonder why I start out with quick boomerang for some reason instead of megabuster.

The first thing you'll notice if you start up this map is that you spawn with the Quick Boomerang instead of the Mega Buster. What why would I do that. NO LONG-RANGE WEAPONS. SHORT-RANGE WEAPONS ONLY. FINAL DESTINATION. Yeah, all the weapons on this map are shorter-ranged ones. Why? I tried to soup up the gameplay a bit with this map. You'll probably notice that, with this being quite different from most CTF maps.

Added a new map, "Canaduh," to the first post. Pretty sure that's my final version but let me know if you find inconsistencies or problems.

Guys how do I change the topic's title
I just want this to be "GFD's CTF topic or something" or something
