Here's a recent contemporary work of mine. (http://8bc.org/items/music/Desolation%20In%20The%20Autumn%20Dusk.mp3)
You can find more of my stuff on that site in MP3 format.
I have even more, though, in their original NSF file forms, which can be found here. (http://2a03.free.fr/?p=pub&dir=Zero_V2)
You'll have to get a program like VirtuaNSF or download some plugin to play them.
Any feedback is appreciated highly.

I'm not a very good music critic, but I like what I have listened to so far. Hmm... Have you ever heard of Gamewave Podcast (http://www.gamewavepodcast.com)? Episodes are a bit infrequent now, but people can request chiptunes on there. Have I ever heard your work on there? From the title, "Earth's Troubles" looks familiar.

I wouldn't believe you have. I'm not popular on any community in the slightest.

You should be. This is very, very nice stuff. I aspire to become as good as this.
Did it come..."natural" to you, or did it require practice?

And that's all that matters.

I enjoyed listening to this. Good job.

It's all based on what I can actually manage to write down out of the random and sporadic melodies that come to my head.
I started around four years ago. But it took at least a year and a half before I could actually write harmonies and chords.
And I'm still plagued by instrumentation methods . . . most of my songs consist of mostly rudimentary instruments. =[

Oh, the songs I'd be able to make if I could actually write down ANYTHING that pops into my mind... I've tried using trackers on and off for a year or so, but I cannot create anything half-decent at this point. I guess more practice is needed. Feels a bit pointless, though.
Do you have any other songs you could share?
EDIT: Searched my way to your music on 8bc. Never you mind.
