Ok, after playing a couple of rounds of ctf today, and a few other teamgames last night, I've noticed people "Don't want to be the good/bad guys". So servers end up being 6 vs. 3 alot of the time, because people refuse to join a specific team. So, for people who host, please, please make your servers auto-select teams. I'm pretty sure Mr. X could back me on this one, he witnessed it last night.

I try to balance teams, dont give a damn what team I'm on.

Auto select rocks...
Though sometimes i see people switching over to the winning side after a few rounds of team LMS.
Which made a 3 vs 7 match once. (guess which side i was on -.-)

I was playing TDM and someone kept switching sides to the winning side, back and forth which just made it 3 vs 1

But it is quite nice to be on the team that wins when you have 3 vs 7, and you're the 3.

Are you kidding? I always like to be on the team with less people! (regardless of which is winning unless Celebi is playing)
Winning ain't fun if you have 4 more guys than the other team.

I like fair battles mostly... But i lol'd the other day when i had multiple wins in TDM on my own vs 3 others.

This is quite frankly why I don't play team based matches anymore. I'm all for having the server select for you, but is this possible at the moment? Or would we have to take this up with the Skulltag team?

I insist on being on the smallest team, and in games like tf2 on the server I've played on for so long I know all the regulars, the less-skilled over all team.  Not that I'm the best player ever, but I like to try to help the team that needs help more, and if our team's getting owned it's just a learning experience; you'll actually build skill at a game if you play against difficult opponents, rather than playing with them and letting them carry you all the time.

People who host can select an option to auto-select teams. They just don't make use of it.    :?

I always join the team that is performing poorer than the other team, which is why I dislike Auto-Select. I do see people switching sides from time to time, though, which does annoy me at times. The teams with more members that win deserve less glory than teams that win with fewer members, imo. Still, if Auto-Select is used, be prepared for some lopsided matches.

Btw, I was on X's server at the time, but the fact he enabled Auto-Select was out of the blue for me. I remember waiting until one LMS Instafig match was almost over before joining the losing team (which someone then disconnected on that team, putting each team back to two members each). After that match ended, Mr. X announced that we did not deserve to pick our own teams...did that include me? It was strange hearing that at the time.

No, it happened before you got there.  When I started up the server, I allowed people to pick their own teams (it was InstaGib Team Last Man Standing for those who didn't know).  Within 3 matches, it had become 5 vs 1 with more people continuing to join the winning team.  While I know I could trust you, everybody else proved that I couldn't trust them.

Must have been up longer than I thought, because I remember doing only 2 vs 1 for most of my matches, and I was the 1. Had a really good time. But yeah, I guess use Auto-Select or have people speak up about the unbalance (preferred).

Meh, i just want to win, else the game aint fun. Though i do put in all the effort i can, if i had a choice i'd go to the team with stronger players to increase winning chances. Well, in most cases, sometimes i simply spectate untill there is an acceptable oppertunity.

Though i do agree sometimes things get rediculous. Ever played Ghouls versus Humans? The damned humans tend to outnumber the ghouls atleast by twice their size half of the games, and atleast ONE round per map. I guess it sometimes helps if people restrict choosing teams.

Though... The ultimate solution is to simply create an team balancer! They made one for GVH, too bad it wasnt very popular, must have been those godamn human team players making it unpopular. Well, if one can make a balancer for GVH, they can for MM8BDM. It allows for manual joining teams, but try joining say; a team with already 1 player more then the other and it'll switch you to the other team. Though it had some issues, among teleporting players to starting positions mid-game.

That Auto-Select button sure is a cool guy.

I never really care about which team I'm on, and the only times I've ever switched teams is when I feel like auto select has put me in one team more often than the other, or when things REALLY need to be evened out.

Still, I like it when I end up playing on the Wily team as Splash Woman. Dat colour scheme. Not trying to say I just play Wily team or anything, I'm an auto-select guy as I've established.

One time, me and another guy with the Moby skin were winning 2v5 on TLMS. It was awesome, but I don't remember who it was. Neither of us died, ever, other than one or two times.
