I came up with an idea today to see how long you can fight a robot master before dying. The rules are:
*Do not attack to robot master
*The time starts as soon as you regain movement after their health bar fills and ends the moment you die.
*You must have full health before fighting.
My Freeze Man time is 7:17. Post yours! :D

In b4 infinity on Crashman.

lulz xD
But seriously, post your times D:<
-
I could probably go quite a while as Forte vs. Burner Man. Or Cold Man. Or Ground Man.
-
Cut Man: 0:40
Guts Man: 1:33.7
Ice Man: 0:35
Bomb Man: 1:13
Fire Man: 0:15.9
Elec Man: 0:29.4
Those are my times for Megaman 1

Guts Man: 1:33.7
1337... lol.
Burner man in mm&b is easy to strech to infinity... just double jump whenever he gets close to the edge.
-
Metal Man: 16:04.7
Bubble Man: 1:14.3
Air Man: 0:35.3
Quick Man: 0:22.5
Crash Man: Infinity (It is possible incase you didn't know)
Flash Man: 0:41.1
Heat Man: 0:30.2
Wood Man: 0:59.6
Also, that's funny how my Guts Man time ended. I didn't notice it.

Bass is for unattractive players... like Shining Laser...and pants...

^ I totally agree on that... Bass is like easy mode.
-
I've beaten it as Mega Man.
-
Ive beaten mm&b with both characters and all the RM info CD's and such.
But were going off topic now :p
If im bored ill see how long i can survive a descently hard boss.
-
I plan on doing one soon. What do you guys use to check your time?
-
I use my cellphone. It has a stopwatch feature on it.

My first attempt at this was over 12 minutes against the normal version of Blade Man. Mega Man 10 seems conducive to this, since you can just pull up a challenge for an individual Robot Master. Blade Man's pattern is so easy to manipulate, I think I'm going to have to make it interesting by seeing how long I can go without killing him, such as damaging him only every Xth time it loops.
-
i dont bother i just kill them fast
-
Copycat, you're not allowed to damage them.
I could probably make Jewel Man go on forever.
-
I think i will try Snakeman/Sparkman and Geminiman soon :p
They just make a simple pattern easy enough to dodge.
-
What, no one's tried the Yellow Devil yet?

I was considering it as a way to keep the fight interesting when dodging without aiming is easy enough. But, I see the problem with Mega Man, Mega Man 7 Robot Masters who might flinch.
I could probably make Jewel Man go on forever.
I'm just going to aim for 30 minutes maximum for any attempt, as I would rather not spend more time than that. That said, I just clocked 25 minutes 50 seconds on Nitro E challenge and then the phone rang.

I'm not even going to try getting any specific times, but the longest I ever fought a Robot Master was almost definitely Galaxy Man in 9 for that very achievement, and I ended up stretching it way longer than the achievement needed just in case. Something around 25 minutes.
I also recall figuring out the "trick" to Gemini Man in MM3 NES (your shots trigger his actions) and fighting him for a long time, practicing ways to hit him and dodge him, when I was a kid. I would not be stretching it to say I fought him for 10+ minutes on one occasion. And similar things happen when I have a breakthrough regarding any Robot Master tactics, such as finding out how to fight Snake Man without getting hit once just a few years ago after all that time, or figuring out all Freeze Man's patterns when I was younger. The newer (9 and 10) games have patterns that are really easy to catch onto and abuse, but maybe that's more about me being older and finding them easier to discern, or the fact many of the achievements FORCE you to utterly master all their battles.
