Title: The Mega Holiday Pack

Well, it's getting close to December, and it's time to get festive with the Mega Holiday Pack!

Important Note: I will be doing the Mega Holiday Pack again next year. Stay tuned around November when I start it up again.

What is this?
Simply, to create a pack of happy holiday skins to be festive for the season. This pack will contain entirely new skins, and even a few variants of robot masters. If your interested in contributing, see below.

Skin List
This is the list of skins. The top contains all stock skins, so you can find out what stock skins are getting holiday versions of, below that are entirely new skins.
Spoilered to keep this post size smaller.

How To Contribute: Simple enough, just make a post of which robot master, or whatever it is you wish to contribute. I'll add your name to the list. It will be a group contribution for a project this big. If there isn't enough interest in making it happen, then that's all.

As for the festiveness of the Skin, it's entirely up to you. Use your imagination and be creative!

Release Date
December 16, Midnight Pacific Time.

Scrooge List
Ruh Oh! Committed the project, but never fulfilled your commitment? Quit a few days before the project is due to release? That makes me sad. The holidays should be a magical time of the year.

So if you don't deliver, and never spoke to me about it, then you still get on the read me, just on the Scrooge List. Don't be a Scrooge!

OBVIOUSLY blocky will have his own skin! you will all see! ill also do met with a Santa hat! and the metal blade can be the hard Candie blade! (ya know the white candies with colored stripes on them)

You have to use Slumped/XWE/Slade unfortunately.
Also, can I take Crystal Eye, Super Arm and Rolling Cutter?

go into slumped and open the v1b(make sure you do not screw anything up) and go to sprites then weapons find the weapon you are doing then highlight the pics then right click and export

The problem is he can't get Slumped/Slade to work. Wish I could help you with that. Have you tried XWE yet? If not, I guess I can make a quick sprite sheet and PM it to you if I get a chance.

Anyhow, are these all Megaman-based skins? If so, I'll happily download this. Otherwise I won't, y'know. Maybe you should make two versions if its not?

Anyway, I'll try to contribute Christmas Roll and that Snowman enemy from MM10, Chillman's stage.

Oh it is just for a quicky, and how about adding  *4*6 and *3*7 and *2*8 they are just reverse for some sprites because it is needed like my vegeta sprite do the scouter otherwise it would be on the wrong side

They are not hard to reverse. If you have any type of image editor, you can use a flip image effect.

Sounds great.

Custom skins are nice and all, but the main aim of this project was to make all the stock skins have some holiday features, like making Wood Man into a christmas tree, or centaur man into a reindeer. I'll accept custom skins, but lets not go to crazy with them.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
Brawlman raised a good point to me about replacing the weapon graphics. I'm calling it off, UNLESS people really want to have a pk3 that replaces the weapons. But it may be a bit much. I apologize to anyone who signed up for the weapons.

As for skins, I do still hope for holiday versions of the robot masters. Though like I said before, get creative. don't just slap Santa hats on them and call it a day.

Too bad weapon replacements are out. Good thing I didn't start working on them.
Personally I think skins are going to be harder to edit, there's a ton of 'em, but with enough contributions everything should run fine. I would help out but I don't think I will have the time to work on skins or if I would finish them in time, so I wish you good luck with the project.

Hah, I thought of an idea for Gyro Man.
Instead of being a helicopter bot, he'd be a reindeer bot, with a reindeer attached to his back for flight.

None the less Mr X. told me that Yellow Devil was planning on doing it, so I'm awarding Santa Light to him.

Also, yeah that would be cool Korby... have time do it?  :p

As for the deadline, I think mid December will be a nice time to release it, or if the skins come in and interest dies before then. Whatever comes first.

Three Weeks should be plenty of time to get a pack worth of skins. The halloween pack came in fine for a one week project.

I could probably do it, yeah. I probably wouldn't change his walk cycle much, other than have the Reindeer kicking its poor legs to propel the guy.

The question is, should the reindeer be team colored as well?

You could make the nose team coloured, but if it was the same colour as Gyro man people wouldn't recognize it

You've got a HELL of a lot to do if you want this out in time for christmas. Might I suggest just adding new skins? Even if you do make christmasy versions of old skins, they can still be added as variants rather than replacements.

Same with halloween pack, if this gets finished in time I'll post it.

Yeah, I realized this is definitely too overbearing from my original views of happy holiday fun of everything being cheerful for the season. So at this point in time, I'm only saying, make new skins, make variants of the robot masters if you want. In the end, there will be two packs.

Wood Man Christmas tree must still see the light of day, though.

A Sniper Joe sheet in its most updated form doesn't exist at the moment :O You'll have to rip the sprites and make one yourself, I'm afraid.

ok christmas met is being worked on
HOWEVER
when i try to make the santa hat red (like it should be, if its blue it would just be bomb kirby met) the red....turns orange...So i cant use red, EVER, in this met skin, and idk why, any suggestions?

I've gotten my map 99% done, but the snowmen still look pretty weird.  I've asked for help on the matter several times before (while doing Sunset Canyon and just recently) and nobody responded.  Also, despite my cut in one of the songs being fine in all of my audio players, the game cuts it at a weird time.  That, I might not be able to help.

Looks interesting. A new stage for the holidays. As for the snowman. I have no idea. It should be simple enough to create a new thing in decorate...but I recall you mentioned people were having issues with new actors. I honestly have no idea why that would be happening.

Yep, but it doesn't lead inside.  It would have been too small and I would have had to have some weird way of getting out again that would have made it a death trap in a real deathmatch.

Err... Sorry, can't accept it.

Problems:
Essentially a Giant Box
Does not follow typical MM8BDM guidelines(you have diagonal sectors that aren't 45 degrees, or circular)
Visually Repulsive.
Items placed at random
No Health or Energy Pickups, a single E tank.
You didn't even use the correct textures. Nothing is animated as it should(except a single flashman texture).
And more.

HFM isn't working for some reason! I have all of his frames, I have his skininfo, and I have his rotations, yes the game gives me an error everytime saying that it has no rotations, removing. :cry:
I can send what I have now, see if I made a really stupid error, but it all looks fine to me...!

Sorry Ice. I know you tried, but the map isn't too great. You forgot the mapinfo for starters. Without the mapinfo, the air control isn't set. Those islands with tango rush and rush coil aren't even possible to jump too with the proper mm8bdm air control.

The level is long, too open, symmetrical and boring.

thnx for the input ^_^ I knew there was something odd about some of the areas, I didnt know what else to add to the outside, and for the map info, I'll try to add that, as for the symetry, I knew thats usually a no no but I couldent resist, (and some of my favorite deathmatch maps are symetrical, blizzardman's was mostley in my mind when I made this, but then again, the water made it unique) but the diarama was a nice touch no?, also, any tips on the inside area?

btw this is my 1st ever "completed" map

A small update.

I'll make this clear again. You ONLY become a scrooge if
A) You don't deliver a skin before the 16th.
B) You quit 3 days before the skin release date

With that being said, why the 16th now? Things got changed about in my real life, and now I'm being picked up to go home for the holidays on the 17th. The skins need to be delivered to me by the 16th so I can submit them to Cutty for the 17th.

Also I didn't accept Bright Man because it was too boring. The snow globe idea was good, but it's barely noticeable.

This project is supposed to be festive! Let's see the happiness!  :)

With that being said, why the 16th now? Things got changed about in my real life, and now I'm being picked up to go home for the holidays on the 17th. The skins need to be delivered to me by the 16th so I can submit them to Cutty for the 17th.

Also I didn't accept Bright Man because it was too boring. The snow globe idea was good, but it's barely noticeable.

This project is supposed to be festive! Let's see the happiness!  :)

Then I guess it's the same with me that brawlman has.
If anyone wants to make SGBM, go ahead.

EDIT: Started a new project for this today. Since I'm not sure if I'll get it done in the time given, I've chosen not tell the identity.

For now I will call it "Project Frostbite". It is a skin, and might be two if I have enough time.

I don't think so. Some of her other outfits have pigtails, but they're smaller and if those were pigtails they'd be much bigger.

Anyway, Snowman is done. His name is Kaona Geeno cuz thats his official name.

Alright Everyone! It's the big day. The Skins must be submitted to me by Midnight, today(the 15) pacific timing. So I can compile the pack and send it to CutmanMike for it appear on the front page for release.

With the exception of Magnetman, Who I haven't seen for the longest time. All the skins I were expect to get in, are in. So that's it. Unless anyone has been doing surprise skins. I'll get the pack together.
