Title: A little bit of help for the new V1C release...
Post by: Screwattack on November 28, 2010, 06:08:09 PM
So how exactly do I move my data from V1B to C? Before when V1B was first released, I moved my V1A files to B, but somehow it didn't work, and I lost all my progress on my single player mode. (But thanks to the nextmap cheat is wasn't too bad >:) So how exactly do I move my old data to the new version without losing it?

Extract, and replace all files when doing so.

So you mean you replace evey file except for the v1c.pk3 file?

Extract it into the V1B folder, when it asks you to replace, delete or cancel, replace all files.

Did that so do I delete the V1b pk3 file or do I leave it alone?

Just leave it. I still have the v1a and it doesn't interrupt me.

It seems I'm now incapable of playing online. o.o What the heck happened?

It's saying  "Please make sure you are using the exact same wad(s) as the server and try again."

IT IS THE SAME! I'm using the V1C and it wont let me in!!

EDIT: Nevermind, fixed it. [Copied the 1B version onto my folder and replaced it with 1C.]

Yeah that happened to me too! I haven't played it for a week or so and when I boot it up it loads the v1b file even though the v1c file is there! I deleted the v1b file but it said that I needed the v1b file. I had to redownload v1c to fix the problem.
