Alright, it will be posted by tomorrow, also I would like to make the tilesets for the mario stage or stages, if they are to be included.

Funny how it all started as Megaman and now it's been converted to touhou, sonic, mario and various other titles.

There aren't screenshots there.  All I see is a blank page with "Screenshot" written on it.

Here is a quick show of both skins, please note I did this quickly.
My only point is some of the frames don't look that good...and some have black at points and some do not.

Samus' real sprite isn't that tall, is it?  That looks...weird.
Title: Re: Legofan20's custom skins
Post by: RenegadeX5 on December 18, 2010, 10:17:35 PM
Dont even have a black outline...
Title: Re: Legofan20's custom skins
Post by: Ivory on December 18, 2010, 10:19:53 PM
That can't be the official sprites. Samus was no that tall. I'm dead positive she had the black outlining. It looks custom.

these comments make me a bit sad, i will redo them though, may take up to a week or 2, not so good when it comes to leg drawing. :(

Post by: Russel on December 18, 2010, 11:06:25 PM
And by the way, I did get the sprites from spriter's resource, they were on a black-backgrounded sheet, almost impossible to set properly. And yes, these ARE the OFFICIAL sprites, the foreward, right and left anyway, the rest is custom. Still makes me sad though, your reactions. :(

Okay, I know it's your first skin and everything, and my first(Cloud Man) was pretty terrible as well. But I need to be frank. According to Celebi's screenshots, there are differences in the standing rotations, such as a lack of her holding her cannon up on her front and back poses. Plus, the lack of an outline, even if it was on a black spritesheet, is a very bad idea. The red sticks out like a sore thumb on suited Samus as well.

Otherwise, it's okay.

Remember her teleporting in on the first Metroid game? Her arm cannon WAS at her side.

Yeah, but side standing sprites don't have it up.  It has to be consistent.

For example.

A cat cannot have a cannon on its head on its front pose and the same cannon instead on its leg on its side pose.

Despite how awesome cat cannon would be, do you understand what I mean?

@Korby What are the problems that the sprites still have? I shouldn't have much trouble correcting them quickly. and BTW the sprites turned out WAY better! USER INPUT ROCKS  :D

She is still facing to the side in her Back/r sprite
Title: Re: Legofan20's custom skins
Post by: Korby on December 19, 2010, 05:36:46 PM
Running is somewhat awkward on the Back and Front poses, but this is understandable. Considering how she runs in game, this would be very annoying to sprite correctly.
She still doesn't have her gun up like in her Front/R, Side, and Back/R poses.
No eyes on the front poses.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Her left arm isn't resting on her cannon in the front/back poses, but it looks much better now. Good job.

Post by: Russel on December 20, 2010, 05:39:57 AM
alright, thanks! I'll get it taken care of, the finished skin will be posted on the site in a pack w/ Samus, most likely tomorrow afternoon, Suited Samus will get the same treatment, btw, I believe it was you who mentioned the red sticking out, what should I do about it?
Thanks again!  :D

Going from the original Samus sprite,
Bring Green back.
Change orange on visor into white/more green
Orange becomes Cyan
Red becomes Blue
Give it an outline.

Bump for the clockmen skins
Title: Re: Lego's custom skins
Post by: fortegigasgospel on January 09, 2012, 05:47:54 AM
Sorry for bumping this but seeing a screen shot made me go look for them.
Its a good sprite (Clock Men) but a few things are urking me about it. The eyes size looks odd (yes I know he had big eyes, I've played it). Also his forward (and I assume backward) running animation his arms don't move, yet in his side ones they do, and visibly are moving vertically too, but his forward animation does not have any vertical movement.

Ok, necrobump.

I know of these problems, in the next update, they will be better.

In the front poses, I have the arms fixed for the next version, I just need to get off my lazy butt and finish them...

I understand you apologized for the necrobump, but please don't do that again...

*ahem*

I stopped caring about that skin 3,000 and a half years ago.
That pair of skins is bad and I feel bad for making them. The Clockmen are better, in my opinion.

Anyway, removing the link to my shame, if it still exists.

that's because her hair is slightly covering her eyes, she's not actually angry.
this is shown in the side frames.

Oh right this is a thing.

I realized I generally make skins once a year...I'm a bit early but what the heck.

You know what I'm going to give you. (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NeverSmileAtACrocodile)

And now we're here.

[By the way, the main difference between a croc and a gator is muzzle width; gators have fat mouths.]

To be honest I'm not sure why I feel the need to explain myself with everything I do...oh well.

Either way, here's Wheel Gator~
