This is just here to help out the people who don't want to see a crapton of Megamen, and can't be bothered searching out every skin.
This here pack contains every skin I had as of 12-31-10 (Dec. 31st 2010).
I suppose it's a New Year's present.
If I've missed any, oh well, I guess. I highly doubt I'm missing any that weren't on the forums or the wikia as of then.
Download Link removed as per the message of Ivory.
Happy New Year!~ :3
(There are no Mappacks, Music WADs, or anything random in there. Just skins)

We've had many people try this. And I'll tell you the same thing I'll tell anyone else.
You need permission to redistribute other peoples skins. I really don't want to re-go into the details for this.
-
Ah, alright.
No way I could get permission from EVERYBODY... But oh well.
Defeats the purpose of releasing skins if you don't want them to be redistributed, though. Some get lost along the way.. But meh. Rules be rules.
-
It's not actually a rule. It's just an ethical issue.
-
Feel free to use my skins if wished think of it as a thank you for using them.
-
Ha, I guess you could call this a spiritual descendant of the Ultimate Skin Pack.
Anyway, feel free to use all of my skins, even though I only made two.

sincerely? I think that if a skin is posted in this topic and it is functional, it MUST be allowed into a Skin Pack, but the uploader of the skin pack should give credit to the authors of the skins or claim no ownerships over them.

Agreed!

I hope this pack gets to live on unlike the rest. Updates would be great now and then~
And feel free to use my skins too, I don't mind people distributing my work as long as they don't claim it as their own.

Seeing how we're all playing the same game and we more often than not play with eachother, I agree with the above posts. If people didn't want their skins to get shared around, why release them?
-
I'd say you can just put in the popular skins everyone is using, and ditch the official ones, it'd be really helpful. And of course, credit is easier to give.
Im tired of Megaman.
-
We can't ditch the official ones! We can't ditch Megaman! Sure, you may be tired of him, but this is His Game! What're we gonna do without him? We can't keep the name Megaman 8bit Deathmatch without Megaman. And don't even think about Cat Planet Deathmatch.

I meant ditch them because almost everyone browses the official site and has probaly already gotten them. But like all the Robot Masters and the ones already packed will already be there, and I use MM every once and a while. I'm just saying that most people already have it, but you can put them in there.

you can out my skins in it

You forget, there are quite a few Megaman Purists in this community would be absolutely outraged if Non-Megaman skins started replacing Megaman Ones.
As also your missing some points. Skin Control. When the author is the one releasing the skin, the skin is coming in from one source. If the skin needs fixing in any way, word gets about and people go and upload.
Now what happens when you get the skin from a pack with no indication of where it came from?
1) You'll be scratchign your heading and searching around for the update.
2) Or you'll have the old version of the skin being downloaded by anyone who downloads it, and if the skin pack doesn't get updated(because maintaining those things is a chore) then the author has made an update that no one is using!
It's the same reason why I only keep my MM8BDM Maps and mods distributed in my own thread. If I need to make an update(which is rather likely) It's way more easier to control if I'm the only source of the material. If I have to deal with packs and such. That means I need to talk to those people, give them the updated files. of course, why update something so big for a single(or a few) file? It would most likely sit about collecting dust until enough content is accumulated to warrant a release.
I hope you can understand the frustration on my end of having to deal with all of that just to ensure people actually have the right version.
-
You've made your point, Ivory. I didn't think of that.
-
feel free to use mine
-
Still, nonsense. If one were to search for update on X skin, wouldn't they simply come to the forum and search here? I did this, when I wanted to find out the creator of Starman.EXE. Plus, the Wiki helps in "skin searching".
So, I still say: allow Skin Packs to be posted.
-
You're missing the point. If I release a Skin and I directly say I don't want it to be released anywhere else. Are you saying forget what I say and add it anyways. Just because I put it out to the public?

Simple: Release through PM to someone and don't give them permission to publish or don't even post! You don't have to make a storm in a cup of water just because of such small thing. If it was a music pack, then it would be worth making a fuss of it.

Still just as bad.
Either way, all, just go with Ivory here. They make good points, and it's not worth fighting over. I won't put the link back up.

Your bad then... I was willing to download.

simple solution, if you want youre skins downloaded, post them on the wiki too instead of just the forums, it saves ALOT of time searching every single thread for them

I'm lame, I search in forums first! XD

It's still extremely tedious clicking every single skin on the wiki, downloading them, and then putting them in the Skins folder. Skin packs are good, so you get a bunch of skins without being very tedious and annoyed. That's why whoever made the Touhou skins put them in packs, so you don't have to get every single skin one at a time. Being like Korby and only having 2 skins and a pack is fine for one thing at a time, but NOT going through a thread with 50 separate skins with no packs of them.
