Quick question, would a will-o'-wisp flame be classified as hot? Theorically of course, since what the weapon uses could be ethanol based fire (Blue flame) for that matter. I don't want to be limited to yellow/red colors.

What. The. Fuck. I magic weand, delete, save my sprites in Paint.net.Save them as .png and make sure they arn't offset in slumped.
When I open them up in SlumpEd, they have white backgrounds and are tucked away on the bottom right corner. What did I do wrong? This is all I need and then I can submit it

I tried to compile the ACS for WCOLORS, and this came up:Check line 6 and compare with nearby lines or with the template.

On another note... the coding part was easy. It's the SPRITES that piss me off. They're transparent, but after setting offsets just like with skins, they are unaligned. It is especially annoying, this being a throwing weapon. Then, my idle sprite appears in the top right corner. Is it because it is called XXXXA1, which I use in the coding or what? ARG!
I had a problem kinda like this. In Slumped, try getting rid of the .png part of the lump name (hit f2 to rename a lump). Once you're done save it and then try realigning the arm. Save and try again. If this works, it's a bug in SLumped.Odd, I didn't have this problem here. Dealling with offsets can be quite annoying sometimes, but I doubt it is SlumpEd's fault.

Wrong there, DTD.Wrong you are. His face was another layer, sepparated from his body and helmet. You can check this in any reliable NES emulator. You'll find some tiles with Megaman's face.
Megaman had 6 colors in his sprite.
Black, white, skin-color, cyan, blue, and transparent. Therefore sprites can have 5 or even 6 colors.

I've been wanting to try out this contest for a while now, but I was sick for the past few days.
So now I only have 3 days to
1) Learn how to make weapons
2) Think of a good fire weapon
3) Make said fire weapon.
Good for you. This is my first time ever working with weapons, and I'm having a hard time!Combine Charge Kick and Star Crash's mechanics.
I already have an idea for what my weapon is going to be: The Flame Shield from Sonic the Hedgehog 3. I thought it'd be interesting.
But this weapon making stuff is complicated! Not sure if I can take it..
So far I've been messing around with it by adding Charge Kick's mechanics. I think its actually going well so far, but its a little hard for me to tell!
I hope I can do this.

Kapus, method to turn the shield off depends on how it is actually spawned to the game world. If you took Leaf Shield as example, just give an inventory item to the player when the shield is activating. An item whitch does nothing and players are unaware of it. When you fire, check for that item and go in a state when you disable shield and take the said item. Look closely through Leaf Shield coding if you do not really understand what I am talking about.

Yellow Devil - Flamethrower (http://www.4shared.com/file/3VgPOPmt/FlameThrower.html): This is a flamethrower type weapon that spreads fire rapidly in front of you (but has a very long range!). The altfire throws OHKO tackle fires but we weren't judging for altfires.

Throwing it off cliffs does not cause the bouncing fireballs to bounce all over the place (like napalm bomb), making it one of the best weapons for spamming robots below cliffs or down stairs
