ROCKMAN EXE 4-6 : THE NAVIS MODE!

You may know about the Advanced Pet or Progress (stream) pet or Link P.E.T; with battlechip modes. They are simple electronic handheld consoles that are able to connect  to battlechip gates that allow you to insert a Navi Data Battle Chips to play as a Navi instead of megaman (aka, other robot masters !) for Megaman EXE 4 to 6.
These are the three handheld consoles that allow for battlechip gates to be connected and what they look like.

Link P.E.T (Forte version shown here)

These are the Battlechip Gates that connect to the above handheld consoles.
(Advanced) Battlechip Gate:

You can see here, the gate can only be on a GBA or GBSP.
(Progress) Stream Chip Gate:

(Link) Beast Link Gate (Greigar Design):

For every gate, there is a series of battlechips for Advanced, Progress and Link. Some battlechips are for Navi,Navi’s attacks or game modes.

When you put the gate on a gba with the right game. For example, Battlechip Gate connected to Advanced with game EXE 4 or EXE 4.5 inserted; you can play as a robot master of your choice ! (but they are called Navi’s here)
In EXE 4, you can play the Tournament battlechip mode (not really a secret), insert a Navi chip and you can play with him!
in EXE 4.5; you can play with all the battlechips and navis for this version.

In EXE 5, you must use the Progress chip gate, but it's only the same thing as Rockman EXE 4, a simple tournament mode without story.

In EXE 6, when you use the Beast Link Gate, Megaman will be in beast mode (AT THE BEGINNING YES!), and you can use the battlechips as you want!
Example this mode can be this:

Yeah, you can use REAL BATTLECHIPS against Gregar! It's fun!
When you finish the game, and beat the link navis (chargeman, killerman etc...) with SP version, you have in the shop a thing to have your netnavi, but!
Your netnavi will have a level, in the beginning, it's level 1, to have a better level, you must use the LINK PET and the navi chip of your navi to do some fights and gain more levels!
Tips: Use the level 1 of the linkpet to upgrade your netnavi, it will be faster to have your navi > level 14 and SP.
There is 15 level, 14 and after, SP,
All is here:

Interesting. You can have a powerful netnavi!

I prefer exe 4.5 and 6 for the netnavis mode, exe 5 is cool but the tournament mode not as interesting as exe 4 is.

If you want see:
Exe 4.5 battlechips with Iceman.EXE:
(click to show/hide)

Exe 6 battlechips with Heatman.EXE
(click to show/hide)

I dream of a new exe games as exe 4.5 or 6 since 2 years....i hope...it's not died.

Interesting.
Those Japanese get the best of everything, though. :-)

Ironically, I made a whole series based on this. I did an entire boss run of BN6 as ProtoMan. It was definitely fun and a good change of pace. (All of it is uploaded to Youtube.)
