Title: Ghouls vs Humans Donation map
Post by: r_rr on November 19, 2009, 07:38:37 AM
My first map in 5 years lol.  This map is based off a small cargo ship in the midst of a storm.  I tried out a new way to make waves, by actually creating many rooms with increasing slopes and moving a skybox viewpoint through them rapidly to give a movie like wave effect around the ship.  I have some cool features, inlcuding a working foghorn.  I put a delay on the foghorn so players can't spam the hell out of it :P   I put plenty of places for creeper to hide.  I also tried to make this map as "camp proof" as possible, but fair.

There is a bit of a problem i see with your map.

If a wall of jitters come up from the other side humans have no where else to go.

I think if you add some more paths this could be quite a good map

It's a box shaped arena with crates in it.

Reminds me of box city or something along those lines. Pure. Jitterskull. Rape. It was awesome. Good old times. :P
That map was in STLMS or something i recall...? Hehe...

Assuming from the picture, the size seems fine, but it could use more detail, though. Hmm... But i'm sure it'll be a ghoul rape party in this current state, still needs some work. :P

Bad texture here

Hom here

Why can't I fall into the water?

The barrier is just a texture, I can't walk on it. That's dumb. Either remove the texture or make it possible to walk on it.

FreeDooM for the lulz :P

Anyway, make your map, test it in Software only. Then add the OGL shit.

Already fixed all of those issues, along with some other eyebrow raisers. Added some heavy metal too, GVH has a lack of it. :D

FreeDoom has the same filename as doom2 (so freedoom.wad doesnt exist)
