Title: Gummy's "Weaponry" (SV_Maxlives Patch)

This where is where I place stuff.

MLP Classes Weapon Descriptions:

SV_ maxlives LMS Patch:
Fixes the problem with maxlives LMS making you invincible on the second life. Very beta patch made quickly. All I have to say is don't play on waveman unless you want things exploding. (Download (http://wadhost.fathax.com/files/Sv_maxlivespatch-v1a.zip))

SHOCK GUARD(Non damaging version):
Protects you once from spikes. Made for a few expansions. Please read the readme file in the pk3 for more info and stuff.

DUEL PATCH:
I've seen people saying how they don't like the fact that some items were removed from duel in v1D. This patch readds them.
This has also been mirrored on wadhost so you doomseeker people can get it easily.

Sorry to say, gummyworms, but there was a reason that those were removed.

They were removed because people would camp near them, and spam them with no end. :L

Good news: Rarity's weapons are done
Bad news: Rarity's weapons somehow break skulltag.

So now I'm stuck debugging this mess trying to figure out what's wrong. (Which might be good because the last 2 classes left are going to be annoying to code properly.)

I fixed it. Something about KEYCONF didn't like that there was only 2 classes to choose from.

Next up is... *sigh* pinkie. Gummy will be in one of her attacks though. ;)

Welp, I held a test server today. People seemed to enjoy what's in so far. For those who care, here's what's going to change in the next beta:

Rainbow's speed is nerfed
Exploding gem nerfed x 1000000000
Hammer tail slightly nerfed
Homing birds nerfed
Pinkie pie will also be added in.
Possibly proper HUD sprites??

I'm expecting nerfing (especially for exploding gem) and taunts for version 0b. And maybe HUDs for version 0c? Who knows? I'll be testing them, because testing's what I do best.

Taunts will most likely not be in the final product. All mentioned nerfs are done. Pinkie's first weapon is also now done.

I should probably also update the tip system so it's relevant.

EDIT:

Should also say that I need spriters for projectiles and skins if anyone wants to help.

While I'm working on Pinkie's class, I might end up working on some super items. Thing is, I can't decide how to make them work.

Here's your 2 options:

Most will last until you die. You only get 1 use and the countdown is reset when you die
The super items wear off after some time. You can get multiple uses of them. The countdown is reset when the item wears off.

Pretty much. Most of them effect the player directly (aka runes everywhere) but some are projectiles (sonic rainboom. apple storm)

I couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of "Sonic Rainboom" simply because I can't see it without thinking of Guile's theme.

Anyway, as long as they're not too broken, and there's a specific way to get them, I won't mind.

I've been busy, so little progress has been made so far. I'll hurry up with the coding in a bit.

Some new ideas and stuff:

Rainbow Dash's rain cloud can now be charged into a tornado.
Nightmare Moon *MIGHT* get a class.
Also I'm opening up submissions for bot chats. I can do them myself but it'd help if people submitted some.

Nightmare Moon's first base weapon is done, including the crazy custom pain states, easter egg ACS is fixed, (which in turn allowed me to figure out why taunts didn't work), and clearplayerclasses decided to work finally.

I am magical.

All that's left is to finish pinkie's projectiles, and finish nightmare moon's class / 2nd weapon then more testing!

Come to think of it, I should put up weapon descriptions on the first post. And ya, this mod actually has some pretty advanced stuff in it. *cough* possible player teleportation *cough* I'm kind of surprised this is going well so far, considering I have next to no experience in this. XD

Also, possible proper sprites for fire breath get!

Generic long list of things to fix in 0c:

Shock mines won't kill you in almost 1 hit.
Eternal night won't be able to be spammed forever.

Eternal night's altfire might be fixed.
You won't get blinded randomly anymore.
Hydra's will get a health and spawn nerf.
Eternal night or pinkie sense can not be auto aimed.
Homing Birds nerfed even more.

Triple Zap won't be useless.

Makin' a Skype account is easy. But, sincerely? Don't even bother joining the MM8BDM skype group. The few minutes I was first there wanted me to "leave the conversation but stay in the group", only to realize that Skype FORCES absolute leaving. Ah, and the text conversation is a bandwidth eatter. Another less amusing thing of the group is that I heard reports of personal attacks against non-participants of the group.

Korby found some base running / standing sprites here (http://www.mediafire.com/file/zggh9gonvt1c9fb/Mane6_trotting_standing.zip) for the main 6 ponies if anyone wants an easier time attempting to skin them. It doesn't include nightmare moon or spike sadly, but we'll get to that part later.

Anyway, I'm going to fix up the rest of the bugs and stuff. Pretty much all that's left is figuring out this pain state. I already have a general idea of what to do. After that, 0c will be tested then the annoying parts come.

Oh, and the poll still being tied doesn't help much either.

I'm getting my new computer tommorrow morning. Here's what I'm going to work on in sort of priority order:

Finish my enemy classes for ice (yes, I'm still doing those)
Update MLP classes to at least 0c (I pretty much know what to do and stuff)
Megaman and Bass Weapons

You could do like I did and give each mm1/pu weapon a flag on select like "hascutter" and have him check your invintory so his weapon changes with yours

Since Gummy Wormz last visited about six days ago, I feel I can bump this topic.

Has there been any progress on this classes mod since your most recent post?  I recently became a "brony," as some people call it, and I'm rather intrigued by this now.  It seems rather close to being done, but even if it isn't, a public release after capturing all this attention would be nice.

Also, after watching the show for a while, I came up with a couple "super items."  Note that these were based on the second option on the poll.

Fluttershy:  "Psycho Shy"
You're going to LOVE ME!  Based off of a wild, much more threatening Fluttershy that's rarely seen, her animal-based attacks are replaced with weapons much more dangerous.

Main Fire:  The Stare.  This attack has a wide range in front of Fluttershy, does great damage (about 1/3 of health) , and freezes your opponent in place for a short time (Think Spark Shock.)  Doing this requires a lot of focus, however, so it doesn't fire very quickly.
Alt Fire:  Aggressive Flight.  It may not be "canon," but I think it fits; Fluttershy charges forward, using her wings as both flight and a speed boost.  Picture this like Charge Man's main fire, run into someone to cause damage.  Fluttershy can also fly up and down while performing this attack.  Have this run off of an ammo bar.

I think this would work well without being OP because Fluttershy is long-ranged and defensive, but Psycho Shy is feral and aggressive.


Rarity:  "The Perfect Dress"
This one is a lot more simple.  Rarity dons some fancy clothing, decreasing the damage they take to about 2/3 and increasing their transparency.

This one was built off the top of my head, so I'm unsure how well it would work.  Rarity is already powerful from their "bouncing needle cannon," so decreasing damage taken might not be so smart.  Overall, this probably isn't the best idea; perhaps something involving Opalescence?

Shock Guard updated again. Apparently DB2 handles replaces without doomednums weirdly.
