Title: [EXPANSION] Mega Man I-IV (Gameboy)
Post by: Toad Man on June 19, 2011, 04:50:44 PM
I was thinking that MMI to MMIV for the gameboy should get a expansion pack for MM8BDM, but due to the GB black n' white colors, the tiles are black & white.
But we can recolor them to be NES like.

Who wants to help?

If I may ask, why not just remake all of MMI-IV if you are going to bother with just MMII?

I'd like to help do Air Man's tilesets, if I could.

You misunderstand me. I'm asking why just bother with MMII GB when you could do MMI,II,III and IV to make the expansion larger.

I'd contribute if it had the rest of the GB series (Minus V) added on to it!

So, could you change it to Dr. Wily's Revenge-IV, please?

Going to do Quint's tileset and stage, then I might focus on other games.

Nice, but those are the WILY stage tiles.
Here are the Quint tiles: (http://www.sprites-inc.co.uk/files/Classic/MMII/Tiles/mmw2quinttilesetyk1.png)

I didn't think we would need to use those because it was two screens long!

Beats me.
I guess we could use it.
But we still have to use that tileset for the wily stage.

I could probably help out by making NES versions of the unique level themes of the GB series (Mainly the Wily stages).

bsolmaz13 (http://www.youtube.com/user/bsolmaz13) already did make the MMII music 8-bit, but he has not done the MMII boss fight music.
But still, thanks!
(Now all is we need is tilesets from MMI-IV that nobody has ripped...)

I'll also help by making Air Man's stage.

I've got no prior experience of making stages, but I'll try my best.

I'll do the boss music, as well as the wily themes from those games. So, yeah. Yay, now I got something to do!

Never mind about making the stage.

I'll be going into Dr. Wily's Revenge (I) and ripping the tiles.

Same with IV.

I don't quite see the point of making new versions of the robot master stages using slightly different tilesets; however, new Wily and Rock Killer stages sound very interesting.

Alrighty, I got all the tracks needed.

http://www.mediafire.com/?sssg6sl65pmxe8c

It contains the boss themes, the Wily stage themes, and the Robot Master themes from Dr. Wily's Revenge.

I don't know if this is a better idea but how about 1 Wily stage per Game?

Hey guys,

By using the maps of the Gameboy Megamans from vgmaps.com (http://www.vgmaps.com/Atlas/GB-GBC/index.htm#M) and the Mappy Tile Editor (http://tilemap.co.uk/mappy.php), I was able to get tilesets of Cutman from Megaman I and Needleman from Megaman II.  I'm not totally sure that they're complete or perfect, but hopefully they help some.

All right, after talking with Korby, I'll be taking over this expansion in Toad Man's absence. I'll be taking over a few maps, most likely Bright Man's, Napalm Man's, and maybe a few Wily Stages.

As for maps:

Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge/Rockman World

Mega Man II/ Rockman World 2

Do you want me to put you down for Quint?

I suppose it would be better if you moved it from Quint to MMIIDW1.

Wait no

I had thought there would be Stages for both Quint and Wily II.

I didn't know you clumped them together. Keep it like that.

Also, I'll be dropping out of that position. I think I've got enough on my hands.

Can I secure anyone to rip the tiles here?

Aren't they the same as the ones from the official games?
Or are you referring to the special stages, such as Quint.

The GB tilesets are similar, but not exactly the same. Snakeman's stage takes place in a jungle, and Skullman has these glowing electric bones in some areas of his stage, for instance.

Any arguements?
