Uhh, I dont remember. It was either Chrono Trigger, Oracle of Ages, Mega Man 5, Final Fantasy 7, Future Cop: LAPD, or Spyro 2. I was very young and had a very poor memory so I dont exactly remember.

It was either SMW (snes), Mario Kart (64), or my favourite Mario game that is soo ABAP and ballin' and the only Mario game that I give 2 hits about now, Super Mario Sunshine.

I am not sure. I think it was either SMB1 or SMB3, for NES. On a side note, the first game I ever owned was Super Mario World for the SNES, and I still play it today on GBA. In fact, I started a new file not many days ago and I am on Butter Bridge right now.

First game was Super Mario Bros for NES.
First truly memorable gaming experience was the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Super Mario World.

On a side note, my mom played and beat the original Super Mario Bros on the NES while she was pregnant with me. That explains a looooooot.

IIrc, my first game was one of those Plug 'n Play things for your TV, so it was a combination of Gain Ground, Sonic 2, and some other Master System games. Horrible audio though.

For those who don't know, Breakout is essentially a solitaire version of Pong and the great-granddaddy of Peggle.  It's also basically the reason Apple exists, as creating the game's original release for Atari is what brought Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak together.  It was included as a pack-in with the Apple II my Dad picked up when I was a wee lad, though Wizardry ended up being the game we played most when floppy disks became available and suddenly it was possible to save your game.  Shit was AMAZING, yo.

though I dont think we ever had atari. funny thing we have almost every system made... and sega doesent count in this.

My entire family are gamers, so I was born into it. The earliest memories I have playing games are Indian Jones (2600), Missile Command(2600), Bowling (2600), Megaman (GB), and BattleToads (GB). One of those were my first, then again, I could be wrong.

Bumping this for convenience's sake and to say that probably the first game I played (played = mashing buttons with the computer on) was one of the Commander Keen games since my older brothers were into those way back when.  DKC2 is still the first game I have memories of playing iirc.

I had the PC port of it but it didn't work with my computer, even years and years later when I found out there was a patch for it, it still didn't work with my copy...

Erm, first for me... Hmmm...

If I had to take a stab at it, it was probably either Mario Kart 64 or some game on the Gamecube. Don't really remember which one I played.

My first game that I truly owned was Pokemon Ruby, but I eventually inherited my brother's Sapphire and played that one more.

This is really the best one I can remember.

Super Mario Land, on the Gameboy.
That's far as I really go, I can't think of all that much.
Can't guarantee it's really that one, but I know I played it.

i never(myself) saw the end of the first level(though i did play a bit of the levels afterwards)...
but just from what everyone knows the beginning is like(and "Departed")...a sequel started it all...

*years later*

i still have the old copy my brother got when it came out.

i treasure it dearly =;)

Probably the worst introduction to Mario ever, but I got advance 2 (Super Mario World) soon afterwards, so it was all good.

For some reason, I never actually enjoyed the other Lego Islands, just this one. Maybe it's because of the nostalgia or just how so dang fun it is.
