If you can get a working KotH mode up and running, I may recreate a couple of KotH maps from TF2 for this. Nucleus and Sawmill comes to mind.
You're gonna need someone who knows a lot of ACS/Decorate and who is willing to put up with you at first though.
You are gonna need a crapload of bridges if you want to recreate Nucleus.
Also, when I thought about a King Of The Hill mode for MM8BDM, I thought that it could instead of replacing DM and TDM replace Posession and Team Posession. I was thinking that a circle would spawn at a random point in the map and if there was only one person (or one team if Team Posession), it would act as if you had gotten the Circuit Board/Hellstone. This would be an easier way to implement a timer and also allow the game mode to be played in any map.
I like how I already had this idea and asked ASD if he could work on it.
I also remember posting something like this in the 'ideas that come to mind' topic, but I'm not gonna do any work on it, so it's all yours.
Also, I dislike the idea of the 'king' getting any special abilities. Keep it simple.
Also, how does the Doom version work, Mr. Sphere?
Heh, I've already seen a mod like this in a mod for Doom.
I'd rather see the TF2 version of King of the Hill implemented. In the (symmetrical!) map, there is a central control point. Teams spawn on their own respective sides of the map. To capture the control point you need to have people from one team stand on the point for a certain amount of time, with no enemy team mates present. Mostly standard control point procedure here.
When a team captures a point, a timer starts ticking down. The timer starts at three minutes per team, and starts ticking down towards 0 upon capturing the point. If the other team would capture the control point during this time, the previous team timer is frozen (not reset). When either team's timer reaches 0, that team wins. Pretty simple, although probably requires specific maps. (Although CTF maps could probably work for the mode as well.)
Anyway, is anyone actually doing the coding for this, or is it all just speculation?

I am goin to do the coding, but i need to learn how to first.I'd get someone else to do the coding if I were you. Despite my previous Java/C++ skills I have yet to learn Decorate either, but having someone with a pretty good idea of what they're doing is more desirable than what appears to be a first time coder.

The Domination game mode (http://cutstuff.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=113033#p113033) might help you with King of the Hill if you only use one control point.
