BRO11 - I MADE THIS MAP AT 4 IN THE MORNING AND YOU EXPECT ME TO THINK OF A GOOD TITLE?

So a little bit of backstory behind this map. I really needed a lava map because I hadn't done that yet. My mind raced through potential ideas and other people's lava maps such as Mr. X's CTF stage and such. One stuck in my mind, Bluebrawl's "Lava Lake". But wait, that's not a lake at all! I thought about my second favourite series, Metroid, and how it had fake lava in Norfair. What if I made a REAL lava lake?

An open map, but players are restricted to the weaponry from 1066 AD!!!... or just melee weapons. They get infinite ammo, too.

Just looking at the screenshots, this is already 10/10 material man. If I could learn to host, I would this map pack all day erry day. It just looks like you're having fun with yourself with this map pack, and that's a good thing. Will wait in agonizing anticipation  :mrgreen:

This Beta is better than all other map packs, I enjoyed it more than the IX-Pack Please don't ban me and all the maps were equally awesome in their own way.

You know. I'm not offended if you like something else more. What bothers me is that you find the need to say "I like it more than the IX-Pack". Every time you post about it. I made the IX-Pack more because I love mapping, not because I was trying to make the best mappack ever. If it isn't your cup of rice, fine. Just stop making me feel like you are trying to rub it in my face by saying it in every post here.

About the Telly Cannons - if they inhibit movement, you do realize they're largely... worthless, correct? Even in Team DM, being locked in place makes you more of a sitting duck - a disadvantage that isn't "made up for" or outweighed by its firing power. In regular DM, the time you don't spend hunting others down will also put you behind. I'd... reconsider how you approach this gimmick as the version I played seemed nothing more than a novelty gesture.

The sandwich, while uncreative, was more practical, for example.

The screenshots now look fairly interesting, of course it could be fairly non-revealing. Some of the metroid maps look a bit spacious, but I'll reserve judgment for when I see the maps in full.

In reality, RNC can probably be released as soon as Wood Man's stage is done. (By then Zhade may have completed that map he reserved) One map ain't so bad, eh? Why not give a shot, Beed. Help the expansion reach the finish yourself.  :ugeek:

Never tested online, weapons are imbalanced, all the health is off, some are way too small and a few need whole redesigns
