Title: Megaman Musicians: Remixes and such
Post by: Smunch on September 07, 2011, 07:47:14 PM
All right, I made this topic to highlight some good musicians that've done megaman related stuff.  Why?  Because of the OC ReMix release of the Megaman 9 remix album Back in Blue.  So, therefore I'll just go ahead and point out some notable remixers of Megaman.  Also, Back in Blue can be found here. (http://backinblue.ocremix.org/)  Listening to it as I write, good stuff.

Next up in line is the obvious group The Megas.  They've made a couple albums, including Get Equipped and Megatainment.  They've remixed most tracks in MM2, and several from Megaman 1.  I'll provide a song spoilered, and a link to their site. (http://themegas.com/main/main.html)

Second is a different bunch, called the Protomen.  These aren't particularly remixes, but its a musical rendition of a world base (loosely) off of the Mega Man universe.  I'd recommend giving these songs a listen, it really tells one hell of a story.  Of course, here's a link to their site, (http://www.protomen.com) which by default plays one of their, in my opinion, best songs.  Or, alternatively, a link to a youtube playlist featuring all of their songs in order of the events that take place. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mxY_tNMjpA&feature=results_main&playnext=1&list=PLAE34B456F625D374)  To be honest, I had to read along with the lyrics to fully understand what was going on, but when doing that it was just one hell of a cool musical experience.

Third up is Vurez.  He's done some interesting stuff; he's done every robot master song from MM6, all whilst keeping in mind where that robot hails from.  Good stuff: He's done a few other mixes of note that are posted guess where? On his website here. (http://www.vurez.com/arrangements.htm)  Also, here's his Knightman mix because why not?

Fourth is Joshua Morse.  He made a 9 track album by himself titled the Robot Master Museum, which features a remix from each game 1-8 and MM&B.  These mixes are good, and that's really all I have to say on the matter.  So therefore, obligatory link to the website (http://museum.ocremix.org/) as well as his Air Man mix.

Next up is E-tank.  He made a bunch of good MM10 mixes.  So here's a youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/Gencoil) and.. lets do the Wily boss music this time.

Finally, there's Azell.  He remixed MM9 and 10, as well as a few other songs.  They're all right, some more than others, but I like some of his stuff so I thought he'd get a mention as well.  So, website here, (http://www.ep-melody.com/en/) and also lets go with his Hornet Man mix.

And that's that, this longish post is done.  Feel free to post any musicians of note too.  Also Disco Dan, your OC ReMix updating days will be missed.

The irony I'm currently listening to a MM9 remix album by OCRemix called Back to Blue.

All of these are by mikethesmooth, really good remixes.

The first one is a MM10 Ballade theme Sonata remix, the second one Ballade theme regular remix.

Secind and third on is really good remixes os Punk and Enker's theme from MM10.

He's done alot more remixes too.
