A spinoff of the "Anyone's art thread" topic.

Here, you post music you've done and the such.

I'll begin.

Heh, the first part sounds a bit like "At Doom's Gate".
(and "At Doom's Gate" sounds like a lot of songs =P)

Not quite as good as some of the canon versions, but it's not GSXCC.

Well, I did make a remix of the Wily Star theme from MMV that I put in my MMV arrange album.

I'm going to skip posting my 8-bit stuff since it's mostly in map packs and such and instead post a remix of Lost Labyrinth Zone Act 2 I did a while back.

Someone should REALLY make a more epic-version of Megaman 2: Dr.Wily's castle music. (MM2DW1)

That would be... well, epic!

Whoop whoop I finished a song after like 3 months, in 2 days, instead of like, 4 months on and off.

Sorry if I bumped this.

http://soundcloud.com/rod-rodney/custom-mario-athletic-theme Here's something I've been working on for a few days now.  It's still a WIP as I really have to fix a lot of things (percussion first and foremost, that soundfont sucked).  It's an Athletic version of a song I made a while ago (well, more like that song was a normal version of this since this was already in my head but whatever)

This sounds like it was inspired on Toad Town's theme from Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. It's nice on the ears and has a catchy tune. It's lacking something though, but I let that slide since you said it's a WIP. I'd say you're leading the song to a good direction.

Post by: Mr. X on April 05, 2012, 05:15:08 PM
Considering I've never played Bowser's Inside Story, that's a no.  I agree, it's definitely missing something.  I'll probably add a new instrument in there once I figure out what will fill the void.

Can`t quote: DSi internet sucks

To Rozark: I`d likely do Boss Fight 1 if I had some tools to help me along. I`m pretty bad at determining starting pitches and time, so midis are actually rather useful tools.

...Granted, my midi choice could be better sometimes.

Also Llama is a total bro for giving me instruments

You certainly got the notes, yet I don't recall the glissando effect at 0:16.
Quite nice.

On the other hand, I may upload a certain jazz/rock fusion cover sometime.

Glissando Effect was in the mythos version.
The extreme note sliding in the arranged and original was just something I wasn't gonna bother with.

Now that I have found this thread, I guess I'll post it here, too:
http://www.mediafire.com/?cwl6xfy77d5acbp
(Download contains a .zip with both a .nsf (recommended) and a .mp3 (not really recommended).)
My first thing I ever made in Famitracker:
A remix of "Tubelectric" from "Jazz Jackrabbit" by Epic Megagames for MS-DOS.

Using the standard 5 NES channels and no expansion chips.
Channel usage:
(click to show/hide)
Made in Famitracker v0.42 on Ubuntu Linux 12.10 via WINE (which makes DPCM importing trial-and-error and the instrument editor kind of hard to use) in about 8 or so hours.

Oh, and criticism, advice and other comments would be nice.
Title: Plus the quality while recording only ftms sucks
Post by: Captain Barlowe on July 08, 2013, 09:47:02 PM
Completely relevant bump

I've constructed more fun famitracker covers, three sort of old, two new. They are: Sunrise Boulevard (Revenge of Shinobi), Pharaoh Man.EXE (Network Transmission), Boil Em Up (Final Fight One - Rolento Theme), A Total War (Battle Network 5), and NumberMan (Battle Network). I was incredibly lazy and didn't record the ftm for the last two, so meh.
