Apparently it was from esophageal cancer.

It's unfortunate, I really liked that guy. He was a great Family Feud host and a wonderful Match Game panelist.

I heard about this on the news. It's sad when anyone famous dies, especially if he was well-liked. Rest in peace, Mr. Dawson.

Damn...That's sad. I remember seeing him on re-runs of Family Feud on GSN a long time back.
May God rest his soul, he will be well missed.
