I'm surprised no one has made a topic about this, so here it is.
You are allowed to do the following things:

Talk about MapleStory
Share IGNs on your favorite channels
Talk about your favorite private servers
Invite players to your favorite or one you have made (I will post a link to a server tutorial)
Share ideas that you think should be in the game
Anything else related to MapleStory

I used to play this before i started playing MM8BDM...
I need to try to play this again even though i just play it just to kill time...
well if anyone wants to play this with me i'm normally found on the El Nido world.
I'm a lvl 85 warrior there and i'm using my IGN Zard92 also...
also my fame is 30... i'm not that well known there...

This game is 100% grind, one of the reasons I won't play it.

Don't feel bad about it. Bumping old topics is fine in cases like this. We don't need a bazillion MapleStory threads just because one of them died after all.

Also, I hate MapleStory, and Nexon MMOs in general. Nexon is a terrible company.

The only game that Nexon owns that I enjoy is Dekaron.

However, Nexon did not make this game nor did they make any effort to change it. The game was originally made by Akklaim under the name "2moons".  

I mean for god sake the tutorial level still calls the game 2moons. I recommend it.

I kinda liked Maple Story. The only problem is that it sucked up way too much of my valuable time, so I stopped playing. I don't really do MMORPG's anymore for that very reason.

I still play on occasion. Sure Nexon's a terrible company and all, but if ya play causally it doesn't bug me too much.
I have been playin' it for a LONG while now, about... 7 years already, wow.
I play in the great server of Bellocan (server pride weee!!!) with a lv 150 Paladin, 95 Chief Bandit, and 66 Hunter as my "mains".
I agree with Zard that Maple's a good game to play alone or if ya want some time alone. It also works the other way around too to play with friends with Maple as well.

Maplestory's gone a helluva lot of changes and resembles almost nothin' that I remember from the ol' days. I'm even surprised that 3rd job is now lv 60 and 4th job is lv 100! Oh well, I'm still a causal so again, those changes aren't the best, but it doesn't bug me too much.

You never played Nethack. That game is hardest at the beginning and very end.

EDIT: Nevermind, it won't let me run it because it says steam has to be running to use it, when it is running.
.. Or should I not be using the steam version. Infact, steam versions tend to be buggy anyway.

well i use the non-steam version mostly because it loads up faster.

Anyone heard of BannedStory (http://www.maplesimulator.com/programs/bannedstory)? It's just a simple simulator where ya use all the resources found in the Maple Story database itself and in a sense play "dress-up" with a character, or make a map, and other whatnot ya would like to do. Personally, I like to use this to create characters in concept (see Cutstuff War characters by me) since Maple Story does have a hell lot of options to pick from.

I've been going yesnoyesnoyesno all over the place. So I managed to install it. But I can't join a world. Also, which world do you play on, Zard? Because it's a permapick.

I've actually used that before. Many animators and people use it sometimes as well.

Actually, it's not a permapick world. You can be on multiple worlds, it's just that your character can only have 1 job. Then you have to level it up. You can have about 6 characters (I think), and there are a lot of worlds. The servers COULD be offline, so just wait a bit or pick a different channel.

@Zerokk i'm on the El Nido world and VirusNinja is right its not a permapick. i just prefer to be only on one world and btw the server's are back up now but they might be going down again on the 13th of this month because a new class is coming out also and i'll be using that class for a while. btw i'll have a different name also. i'll be using the Name SamuraiZard when using that class.

I can see yars fine, I mean others. I already have mine posted on the Cutstuff war awhile ago.
I'd love to make that my CSCC skin, but that'd be a VERY tough job to do.
