Title: Most embarrassing moments in a video game?

Have you ever had those moments where you felt you've done so badly at a certain part of a game that you became embarrassed?

Some of mine for example:

When I played SA2B for the first time, it took me an average of about 15 minutes to complete each Knuckles/Rouge level.
I crafted a Homewrecker out of achievement items in TF2.
I almost died against Thardus in the original Metroid Prime.
A long while ago, I had no idea how to use the shield in OoT, so I was stuck on that one thing that shoots deku nuts at you in the tree. (This may explain my personal bias against the LoZ games!)
At one point, I ragequit Mother 3 because I couldn't beat the Mecha-Drago. (This is the most embarrassing of them all)
I unintentionally harmed myself while playing MGS2. (Take a guess as to why!)

Losing a life to rumia


This happened in LoL

So i was all happy, with Annie, mid, game was just starting


then someone asks me "Why did you start doran's blade and why do you have 0 ap?"

then i realize i came with the wrong EVERYTHING

it was awful.

I unintentionally died against the FIRST Bowser boss on SM64.
On Super Mario RPG, I thought Jinx was a required boss
Got all of my Pokemon frozen one right after another with no breaks against ice beam.

Was playing Borderlands 2 Saturday night. Got to a point to where I had to pull a lever and wait for the elevator. Went to the edge of the platform as I was expecting it to come to the edge or come up from it. Was looking around like "Where is it (insert Duke Nukem voice there)?! " Comes straight down on top of me and kills me.

In MM8BDM, being the only one alive, then wiping out all but one guy on the enemy team with Top Spin...and proceeding to fall in lava.

Also, me playing Starcraft in general, especially against a Zerg player.

Although I don't play it anymore, there was this one time I got hit by the first shot in EoSD after beating the game with all the characters on Normal. Depressing.  :lol:

And in some Megaman games, trying to jump over pits. I would turn back in mid air out of distrust in the jumping distance, but it would be too late and I'd fall.

Recently on Star Fox 64 3D I died on the first stage.

However this was on expert mode and at the waterfall part something made me lose desire to fully concentrate and carry on. I either broke my wing and/or took the alternate path when I wanted to go fight Granga.

So it was an acceptable death. Thankfully.

In Sonic 3 one time, Sonic had a brain aneurism in Carnival Night Zone and I turned the game off in shame.

Giving up on KHI: Kept trying to fight the shadows with the wooden sword (on the island right before it gets destroyed). Didn't realize I was supposed to find Riku and then get keyblade. This happened many a time to the point I was so frustrated that I didn't touch the game again until 5 months later.

NUCLEAR LAUNCH DETECTED
and he destroys my base
I meanwhile run away with an arbitur, and a shuttle w/probe
then
A wild BattleCruiser appeared!
Go! Arbiter!
Arbiter used Plasma!
It's not very effective...
The wild BC used Yamato Gun!
It's super effective!
Arbiter fainted!
Shuttle fainted!
Pylon fainted!
Ashura9699 has been eliminated!

First time I played MMX3, I did something really dumb. Spoilers because spoilers

On the Intro stage during the Zero segment, I jumped into the pitfall thinking it was were I had to actually go. Since Zero only have 1 life in this game, I game over'd and had to start the whole game again.

Really, I genuinely thought that was where I had to go, and dying just after caught me by suprise.

Dying at the VERY LAST SECOND in EoSD on Lunatic mode when I was about to kill Remilia.
Then a bullet barely touched the side of my hitbox when I thought i grazed it :(

I somehow managed to fall off of Mobius loop in F-zero GX.  It was hilarious at the time, but now I feel really bad about it.

That's not really too embarrassing.  From my experience, if you go fast enough, you can randomly fly off the track for no reason.  I know I've had it happen several times on the final "turn" on the first Casino course and other places.

Speaking of F-ZeroGX I was on the last course on the sapphire cup there is a jump that requires speed and control to make.  I make the jump but my cart landed on the rail, but I landed on it horizontally with the games gravity keeping me on the rail. The game damages your cart when you touch the rail, and in less in five seconds I die, later after a retry I make the jump three times, and on the last lap near the finish line I randomly fly off course losing my last life, and that was the closest I was to beating that course for the first time.  THE END

I die so often in the first stage of many games (more than in most second stages even). The poor Reset button / Esc / F10 / F3 / Tab key ...
Also Ys Book I&II can easily cause funny and embarassing deaths due to the ... unorthodox combat system. I had quite a few laughs while playing it.

So I was playing Xenoblade Chronicles (this game is expensive and rare now)
and I was fighting Metal Face. Of course, normal attacks can't exactly Face Mechon, so I kept doing 1 damage.

I forgot to use a chain attack so that my arts COULD inflict break, so that Reyn could inflict topple.

I have 2 I can think of right now. Once on Sonic Adventure, I was about to clear Tails' story, and I was against the Egg Walker (That part of the story's final boss). At the last hit, I deal the final blow, and then I get killed while it said I won. In other words, I had to reset the boss fight after winning.
The other one was in Mario Kart DS on the Rainbow Road. Apparently, there is a trick where you can "fall up" where you drive into a wall on a loop or corkscrew, and I failed the race. That means the Grand Prix had to be redone.

That kind of stuff happens way too many times in video games, and I cannot recall how many times I fell victim to these (although it wasn't in Sonic Adventure). It's what we call a Kaizo Trap (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/KaizoTrap). When I beat Wily Capsule for the first time in Mega Man IV (GB), I completely raged when the screen pushed me into a hole he had created, and that was just after I save stated, spoiling my otherwise perfect run.
