I have no idea what to feel right now, but it's a mix between shock, confusion, and awe!

I'll check these out later, I can just taste the chaos.

Let me start out by saying that a joke map / wad is usually made for one of two reasons. To either mock the community / an event in the community / someone in the community (ex: copy's best maps ever, 2ndcoop, mock2, dethawsm), or to just straight out go insane and make absolutely no sense at all (Ex:  0cb / the new adventure, that one map that has the Take On Me music). Aside from Chaos Temple and Pizza Party, these maps don't accomplish this. They don't have enough "flavor". They're just medicore maps. Maybe that is the point of the project, but please at least consider adding some "punch" to these maps.

Well, the main aspect of these maps is fun.

A few issues have already some to our attention as far as playability goes, and they will be modified, fixed, and edited as needed. This is a v1a keep in mind.

Hey, so I just hosted this for a few hours and we already found a few things that need fixing. I appreciate all of the feedback that was given in-game. And I'm glad people had fun, since fun is our main focus.

First off I'd like to thank those who came out to Tengu's server. I'd want to get this off my chest. This is a strange homage to Action 52. Action 52 is a rather strange collection of games. Some of them, I scratch my head in confusion on to "What in tarnations is going on...?" If you are looking for maps based solely on the Action52 games you will be disapointed. I'm sorry not much I can do for you. In the luanch server I saw someone say "Well, I'll play when it is truly action 52 and not this shit." Or something like that. Let me repeat myself.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING SOMETHING THAT IS ENTIRELY ACTION 52 BASED. THEN PREPARE TO BE DISAPPOINTED. THIS IS A HOMAGE OF SORTS.

Don't believe me then here.

You see, we feel inspired by the oddities of Action 52 to create a pack trying our best to channel that spirit of weird. Unlike other joke packs, we try to make it fair to play while trying to retain a feel of "bad map making."  We are fed up with the idea of bad maps for the sake of being bad and barely playable. I'll say this now, this isn't for everyone if you like it AWESOME WOOT HIVE FIVES FOR ALL. IF you don't like it then, sorry buckaroo maybe the next few maps will tickle your fancy.

It reminded me of Cookie Land the first time I saw it too. As for a map it could be done. If we do make a Cookie Land map credit for ideas and what not will be bestowed upon thee.

This was started in late March, it's been worked on and off for awhile until recently when interest was gained/renewed. It was pretty low-key for the most part.

I appreciate your criticism. I am rather astonished you of all people thought it was bland. I find it somewhat insulting you have to explain what a joke map/wad is to me... Not to mention your first example of a joke wad. Hopefully, we will be able to provide something with more "flavor" to suit your tastes. There are some jabs out at the community, I can assure you. While it isn't anything harsh, it's there more so in a playful manner. Unlike some other joke wads where they can say some harsh and negative stuff. It can be humorous to whomever but we're not trying to go that route.

I don't know how chaotic "jelly world" still is. It has made me nauseous from the movements before. I sadly have to decline your offer.

And yes as Tengu stated prior we are aware of things to fix. Prime Example: Action10/Dam Buster's Killer Grass. If for some reason someone deicides to host these maps with classes if Gyro/Wind/Cloud/ "break" the map, don't be shocked. These maps simply ARE NOT tailor-made for classes. However "vanilla gameplay" map "breaking" would be much appreciated for letting us know. A map break is a map break we'll try to fix it either way.

Once again I'd like to thank those who came to Tengu's server/took a gander at the maps offline. Even if you detested the maps with all of your might. I still thank you for taking out the time to check these maps out. Oh, and if you noticed something odd/complained about the music mostly in action01-05... Jokes on you. =P Yes I am aware of the irony of having bad but playable maps as a homage of Action 52 infamous for being unfinished and unplayable.

Thanks again and thanks for reading this post.

Here is a list of my thoughts on each map in this map pack:
Action01: at first i didn't like it but when i played it offline to check out the map better it turns out that the map is not that hard to get around on you just gotta know what to do
Action02: at first i was like what is this? but then i looked at the map name Bowels, WHY!? then it hit me its a frigging toilet
Action03: i don't have much to say about this one other then stay off the damn grass!!
Action04: i like this map lots of traps to get you and jumping off skulljoe's head to get the E-tank
Action05: i say this is my fav map in this map pack. i don't know why though....
Action06: i must say thats alot of turtles plus the tiger pit with the time stopper is genus!
Action07: this map is confusing at first but its not that hard just pay attention to where you walk and you will be fine
Action08: i'd say this is the most easy map to play on plus lots of good weapons for death match
Action09: this is a very small map. i like the background here plus the music is good too
Action10: this is a fun map but the intsakill grass is a issue... fix that and it will be good
well thats my thoughts so far on this map pack i enjoyed it

Aww.

I was thinking of making a Soft Museum like map. I could make the map not wobble as much, but that'd mean I'd sacrifice the bouncing of the players/items.

Could it be because of the skybox's massive movements?

P.S. I have made another little tweak to the wobbling of Jelly World in the next version of Chaos Generator (mainly to the ceiling movements; the floor's still bouncy as heck), I'm not sure if you will still be alright with that, but if not, it will also feature the old non-bouncy Jelly World where only the floor moves (the ceiling is static).

Alright, honest thoughts.

Most of the maps are shit but that's probably the point.

The two maps I was honestly impressed with were Pizza Party and Darkness is Prominent Here. Pizza Party has a good gimmick to it and a fair enough layout, and the skybox was pretty funny in my opinion. My only problem is with Drill Bomb; the map's small size, combined with the fact that the cheese isn't really a good place to stand, makes this slow-moving explosive dominate the other weapons without question. I suggest replacing it with Search Snack, Needle Cannon, or Charge Kick. Other than Drill Bomb's presence, I actually felt as if this was an okay map, and it certainly has potential.

The other map, Darkness is Prominent Here, isn't really as impressive to play on as Pizza Party is. The layout's crap and the weapon selection is even more so (but that's probably the point). However, the idea of having a map consist of only black and white panels intrigued me. A very creative map could be made if the concept is executed well enough, so if you don't mind I think I'll "borrow" that idea of yours. With some effort, the simple gimmick of the darkness could be made to a pretty great map in my opinion.

Anyway, the pack's pretty stupid and is fun for derping around in Roboenza, but doesn't have a use anywhere else. With the exception of Pizza Party, none of these maps are anywhere close to being suitable for normal play, and I guess that's sort of the point. Good job for breaking a map pack on purpose, and even though I probably won't play it I'll still be watching for updates.

You're perfectly free to use black n' white tiles on a map. I'm interested in what someone can do with it when it's executed properly.

Pizza Party was impulsive and I finished it in about an hour, and given the nature of the map, the name emerged naturally. I'm pretty glad it's been so well-received. I'll do something about Drill Bomb, and I'll make the map larger, since I've received numerous complaints about the size.

Power Stone used to be broken as hell until I removed it in favor of Spark Shock. It was pretty amusing.

Hello everyone. Today we present to you a new kind of Map Pack.
PRESENTING:

ACTION 52

Inspired by that crappy NES Title, "Action 52" (Though only a few maps will be directly from the game), these maps may intentionally have bad layouts. Whereas these maps are far from what you may call "Perfect", the idea is to have fun. Gimmicks included.  We aim to complete 52 maps, with maybe a few bonuses.

"but Tengu, best maps ever already did that!!!11!1"  These maps are not like Best Maps Ever, plain and simple.

Here are some screenshots featuring what we currently have done in this release! Next release, we will include a changelog.

Also, I am now the leader of this project because Lobsters hates Cutstuff with a passion and has requested that his maps and music all be removed from the pack.

That's a weird way of saying I'm too busy to work/maintain the mappack, while not liking the direction it was going in. Anyways best of luck to the crew of making 47 maps. If it even gets that far. Again best of luck. If for some bizarre reason people want the old/original 01-05 I COULD make it in a new bundle. But that is a different story. Once again good luck. I must sound like a broken record by now...
