The Rolling Cutters are going to be hosting a server on Saturday, December 22!
We hope to have lots of players there to experience the new content brought to us in Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch v3. While a Friday game would be a clear choice due to the release date, delaying the event to Saturday will ensure that players can have a bit of time to soak in the changes on their own.
More information will be made available on the day of the event. Thanks!

It sounds interesting, although if the mode is planned to be Deathmatch, I will not show up since I am HORRIBLE at the mode. Since I actually will be working tomorrow, I likely will still be "new" to MM8 when this event comes around. I'll just have to see what happens. Regardless, I'm pretty excited for MM8 overall, though my interest is what mods and such will get updated afterwards.aka Bot Apoc and Saxton Hale

Cause it is the best mode and colors upon join gets fixed in v3 and will allow for true enjoyment of the mode.

As much as I would love a vanilla game of Possession after so long, it was ultimately agreed to be...
Team deathmatch.
Why, exactly? It's the most "vanilla" you can get without being just straight-up Deathmatch, and will allow players to fully appreciate the new weapons and maps without having to worry about finding hiding spots or flanking enemies to conserve health. No, besides a light element of working with a wingman to score frags easier, it's simple run and gun gameplay at its finest.

Team Deathmatch...it's better, but I don't know. I will have to see if I am having a good night tomorrow night. If I'm playing good, I tend to have more fun, so if that happens to be the scenario, then I will join. If I see a mode I like better also getting some activity, though, I will be joining that. But personal tastes aside, I hope this will help MM8 get off to a good start.

The Skype call is only for established members of the team
Not for just any random person

It doesn't have to be the RollingCutters chat. It could very well be a chat made for this event in particular, though I can't imagine a Skype call for just this event (not that I would pass it up, but it doesn't seem likely).
I would suggest just regular ol' Deathmatch for the sake of simplicity.

Nah, I actually agree with their Team DM decision: DM is the simplest mode and having teams ensures that new players can stay alive for more than 10 seconds since only half of the other players are trying to kill them instead of all of the other players.
