Title: Super Smash Bros. Brawl 2v2 Tourney

so i had this idea for awhile, though i was on the edge of 1v1 and 2v2 and decided 2v2 would be more suiting for brawl

Now that Smash and Llama are a team, there are 5 teamless players and 2 open teams. I trust you see where this is an issue.

ok the way i was thinking of doing the brackets is that everyone says what their individual skill level is and based on that i put 4 teams into 2 groups and the teams have to face everyone in that group in 2 matches, then i will go from there

Why not just randomize the bracket? It's Double Elimination, getting a bad matchup won't matter much.

Ok, given that I don't even know my own partner's friend code yet, not to mention the fact that it still says that nobody has registered me, I think we should hold off on placing deadlines until after everyone has confirmed registration of everybody else's friend codes.

That is a big problem, yes. A 1vs1 tourney would probably fare much better.

For a 1vs1 tournament, you only need to get two people to be online and prepared at the same time to proceed. For a 2vs2 tournament, you need four people, which is much, much more difficult, especially when you add timezones to the equation.

im not changing this to 1v1, but you're right, though the other problem is that some people cant be contacted, even if the 3 other people are ready

noted, also smash you need to pick one other person for the tourney

and i hope people are at least trying to get matches done, yes its hard for everyone to be on at once, but either you guys have been busy in the last month or you guys just dont care
