Title: One of the Best Hidings of An Easter Egg
Post by: Geonightman on July 19, 2010, 05:24:22 AM
I sure I'm not the first to have found this but I think I may have been the first to post this. But seems that when Cutty made the wad for GvH he put more than game files in it.

This is a real screenshot of it:

Can't tell what it is?

I saw that AGES ago. It's not really an easter egg considering it's in the Read Me txt.

Hmmm, makes me wish I hid more crap around. Everyone's found the dead cutman heads right? There's 4 of em. Most are in GVH:CD though.

OH come on Cut, stop hiding what you once were  :D All us Ghoulfriends feel all unloved, neglected, and ignored because you're now MEGAMANPRIMESTSUPREMEAUTOBOT.

I miss the days of CD release. ;[ You should too.

I miss people accusing me of murdering ST, HO HO HO! j/k

I can't really add much other than fixes and gameplay tweaks now. It's fairly stable in it's current build which is why I'm reluctant/lazy to update. More classes? Sure I could do that, but I think most people like how it is now which is why there haven't been too many unofficial expansions.

BUT if people throw more maps my way maybe I'd be more inspired to. I do have a couple of good ideas.

Yeah. I was on Skulldate when we were talking about why you don't update, and one of the main reasons was the lack of any real merit. I even said, "make more maps."

Ah, good ol days... To the GVH prehistoric times when ventris hosted super laggy servers. (And we joked about him downloading midget porn due to the lag. :P)

Hmm... More maps... You know, its odd. GVH is still quite popular (well, atleast its always the same players mostly playing it), but there's so little maps being sent! You'd thing with the current active GVH playerbase there'd be atleast 1-2 maps.

Hmm... Maybe i should make another map, thing is, hell if i know what i should make and without inspiration... Meh, cant make good maps without that. :P

Speaking of GVH's current state, all seems fairly balanced now and mostly map orientated (AKA map decides who has highest win percentage, though this rarely applies if you put newbies vs abus-- err, "pro's" :P).
Meh, the average player skill dropped. Now they all resort to hitscan riotguns. The rare few well experienced people sometimes try a few lightning arrow shots, though. Guess the somewhat lack of playing made my Jitterskull skills a tad rusty too. :P

Edit: Being on-topic, i've seen these ASCII(or whatever you call em) images before. I've even these of Sjas and possibily the Marine. Perhaps there's more too, it maybe changes per each version, who knows.

Obnoxiously old thread with a new post. Yes.

Well, there's a lot of new 'unofficial' expansions adding in more characters. Eyesore, Jugulum... even Yurei. I can tell at least some people want more classes. I for one would love all the folks from Ghouls_World myself.

It's fine as it is now, no more.. Some more creepy ghoul maps perhaps like an abandonded circus or highway.. and maybe Santa replacing Engineer :P

As long as said spooky themed map doesnt use textures from Blood, i'm all for it, it just doesnt seem to fit with the style the ghouls and such are...
Not that i'm inspired to make anything myself, unfortunately...

Also, its the cold, extremely hard, extremely frequent truth, about the riotgun abuse. Heh, glad SOME humans prefer to have fun over winning, though that makes them incredibily easy targets compared to marines.
I'd like to see a human team without marines win a match against equally skilled ghouls in a preferabaly balanced map. Though i expect the humans to lose that, why? Because all they use is riotguns! Meaning they do not put their current weapon to good use!

Maybe Cutman will be convinced enough to release GVH if people feed him more good maps. For now it seems like he's letting GVH starve while giving MM8BDM all the food, while releasing it would be such a... simple thing.

Speaking of... What the hell happened to GVH:RE? Still no proper situation to release it in? (AKA bugs only ST people can fix?)

Edit: I'd say its almost well balanced. *cough* marine *cough* No need for even more classes unless Cutman's going to put in more effort into their balance, or whoever is adding more classes.
