This is a random question, but will any of the weapon weaknesses be included in the game? For example, Cut Man beats Elec Man? I haven't run into any of them yet, but I was curious if they were included.

I don't think they will because of Balance issue's.

It wouldn't be a good idea. Because then certain characters would have to stay away from certain stages.
Or if you're suggesting that anyone equipped with, say, Hard Knuckle is weaker to magnet missiles; then such weaknesses would sometimes never occur because the stronger weapon may not even be on the map.
People already get fragged fast enough in this game anyway.

And Mike's making all the robot masters play exactly the same for balancing issues. Otherwise the whole game would be dominated by Quick Men because his weakness is only in 2 stages.

If it were class based, I would have to make a handful of weapons good against a robot master. For example fire man would be weak to all water/ice weapons. But even if I did that, there would still be a lot of balance issues and people would eventually pick characters with the least amount of weaknesses, which would kill the purpose of people picking their favourite characters.
Maybe something to look at in the future but for now, my vision is classic deathmatch.

it would be cool if you made a class based version based on MM1. there would only be 6 or 7 classes then!

I would say, for multiplayer deathmatch: No weaknesses, singleplayer campaign: Absolutly if possible.

I think BEan has the best idea. It'd be cool and add depth to a single player experience, but I think it would ruin the fun and the simplicity of just picking a RM you like for multiplayer.

Yeah, that continues what we were saying about avoiding that for multiplayer. I wouldn't want to be KO'd in one shot all because I wanted to play as Metal Man for the day, nor would anyone else!
However I admit it'd be hilarious to see that happen in single player on his stage.

Instagib, should be set up to use only certian weapons. I am thinking hard knuckle, air shooter, megabuster, and heat gun.

I always figured the Metal Man insta-death was intentional in Megaman 2. But yeah, were we to make a "Classic" mode (that's what I'd call it anyway), we'd have to fix the Metal Man thing.
Anyone know what his actual weakness is by the way? I always just took him out with the buster since he's easy to dodge.

Really? Man, that's gonna need serious altering for a mode with weaknesses. Get close to Metalman with that thing and he'd be gone in under 10 seconds!

An idea: Since the Quick Boomerang is practically a spam weapon anyway, make one shot from it (As in ONE individual Boomerang) deal less than a megabuster shot. I'm thinking... One fourth damage of a buster for any old joe, and half the damage of a buster shot for Metalman.
