Hello guys, im sure now, there will be the Re-Play Festival in France (festival for the retrogaming)

I will host the cosplay contest but there is something important too!

"- Un stand Megaman 8 bits Deathmatch"

Yes it's a place to show to the people how to play MM8BDM, the gamers can play at the 2 computers.

For this first try, i will host the game with 2 computers only (but im pretty sure, it will be liked), one will use the classes mode and the other, the normal mode but it will depends of the gamers, if they want normal mode or classes mode. I think, i will host the packmap Cscm (specially because Megaman Remix!) and some others map pack (IXpack, Sharp pack cause some others games related can make the gamers "happy" to see...by exemple: "OMG Im gutsman on a Sonic Map !!!" and others things.

If you have some idea about things I can show to the people It can be cool.

I will put on the wall, 2 wallpapers who will show how to play the game and HOW TO download the game (v3a), for the modes, i posted the link, but i put my Email if they need some informations.

Anyways, the only Megaman game who work since 2 years is MM8BDM, MMXSF bored me...so short (but cool ok)

Oh and, there is a  big video game convention next month, the manager accepted the MM8BDM stand but not sure yet cause there is Capcom for partnership...not sure if it can works), but they told me if i can show the game to/with capcom...i didnt understand well..hey what?  :shock:  ;)

I will take some photos about those conventions.

Personally I am against Classes, but if you do use the two, just be sure to let people know that Classes is not actually part of the main project but is one of many other modes that can be played with the game. However, since Classes is very popular, I am ok with it being showcased. Anyway, I think the manager was just concerned about possible copyright violations since this is based off the Mega Man Series by Capcom. Still, I wonder if maybe the Single Player mode might be a better one to showcase, even though it is just a side project for Mike...

I think, a computer will be for "normal mode" or 1 player mode.
I try to make a Lan between the 2 computers too...
One will be to show the classes mode (but i will put Megaman for the first playable character).
Re-Play Fest is a normal fest where we have a lot of retro-games playable of 1970-2000....so there is really not copyright for it...just for the fun

But the big "official" convention "Go Play One" must ask to capcom something....i didnt understand well what they must ask, copyright? haha :p

1 player mode can be awesome, anyways, i will switch between the modes. ^^

Er, sorry, I meant Mike's Mission Mode side project, the one where he makes it like the original stages but in 3D.  :p

It's funny you say this, I was actually tempted to suggest an MM8BDM panel at PortConMaine a while back, but I was unfortunately too busy at the time.
Maybe next year I can try and get a panel started...

Turbodude => Thank you! Hope you can do the same thing next year! We must show the power of the potential of this game and Megaman  :cool: ....in my side, in France, there will be Capcom Europe at the second convention, it can be funny if i can show them MM8BDM....(but it seems, it's accepted for the manager of the convention, and there will be some official partners like Ubisoft, Sony, Sega, capcom and others...)

Hi, there!

So, the convention is over, here are the photos of the "Re-Play Convention", people, children, adults, everybody think this game is very fun, it's a hard game but a lot of people was instered with this game, and a lot of people tried to play this game, i explainded them how works the Classes mode with Megaman (computer 2) and with random (all the robotmasters, computer 1), it was REALLY AWESOME to see how people can like this game! And really crazy how i explainded them how work some robotmasters (like needleman, geminiman and the others!) but hehe, im really tired now xD
2 crazy days! (and i hosted the cosplay contest too X___x )
Need more things to show to people how this game is cool and has a good potential.
Thanks to the guy who hosted this convention, it was really fun!

Yeah, maybe hehe ! it will be french guys, if i can contact them, i can explain them how works "Doomseeker" xD
But i explained "how to play MM8BDM and classes mode" on a french forum, i sent the link of the forum on the facebook page of the events.

And yeah, it was a successful event! :D

I asked for a 3mē, it can be fun to put the laptops together for a LAN....with 1 ou 2 CPU more, it can be epic!
I must prepare all the things now (train, hotel, papers to explain the game [more] and others...)
I will explain how to change a robotmasters with a copyweap <=> with the Options... I will take some photos again!
There will be capcom Europe, it can be funny to show them the work of cutstuff and the community, haha =D

Re-play had the "Nintendo League" (official thing), they were really amused by MM8BDM "what, it's megaman with 3D ? like a doom....??? Amazing!" XDDDD

For saturday and sunday, i will host 3 laptop with a keyboard/mouse and it will be a LAN (with maybe 2 CPU).

The convention is ended and it was a good convention of video games and MM8BDM and his class mode and pack maps were REALLY liked with the people ! I liked explain them how to play this game and how to use the changeclass (player>option); a lot of people knew how to change class, i put a paper on the left for "how to play MM8BDM" (and his class mode), and a lot tried all the robotmasters (specially in the afternon of sunday!), you can see on the fotos a guys who played with Elecman or Needleman, it was awesome!!!
I talked with some guys who know the important thing of the megaman licence.
Anyways, guys, we are not alone, not only for us, not only for our group or community, not only for MM8BDM (but yeah a lot!) but specially, we are not the only who like the MEGAMAN SERIE! :D

Here the video (sorry the quality is bad and the sound didnt work :/ but you can see some things!) And it was a LAN between 3 PC laptop.

Update, New Convention ended, it was 2 computers for a nice convention and the game was really played, i put a lot "megaman class" for people, and some guys try to use the others robotmasters ^^
It was a convention in a little city but it was really cool. I like how young people like this game, cool when i see how retrogames is LIKED!

This weekend, there is the Japan Aurea, in the south of France and again, it was liked!
I used LAN with 4 laptop ! It was awesome, we were sometimes like 8 or 9 in the stand!!

I think 4 computers was too much, but not! :D

There is sunday too, but i took enough videos i think, im tired of the first day (must explain the game and others things) but anyways, i have the faith !

EDIT: Sunday was splendid, people played a lot with the robotmasters !!! Sometimes, we were like 10-13 people on the stand, people wanted really play the game, it was hard to manage lol. And people liked help the others to understand how to play this game, a good atmosphere, and because, megaman, it's MAGIC!  :cool:

UPDATE: New Megaman 8 Bit Deathmatch Stand in a little convention in the south, it was good anyways, people and some cosplayers wanted play and try the game!
It was in a village. Cool atmosphere anyways.

The convention is ended, it was crazy fun! 3 days with 10am till 8PM of WORK ! Im really tired but it was awesome!

I was in the convention for 3 days, 10AM till 8PM and more....im K.O ._.

It's a big convention (like 180 000 people in 3 days).

EDIT: The convention (Retro style convention) was in a nice city of France, with a lot of people/gamer who wanted try the game! I used CSCMpack, IXpack, Kappack, Sharpv2a and justified classes v1c+weap items (special mode for the convention only).
There was my 4 laptop + 12 computers, even if there was maybe too much computers, my 4 laptop in the first big room were played, the 12 others too like an average of 8 or more, it was awesome!

But the best is there! Capcom France have seen the Megaman 8 bit deathmatch Stand in the convention in CANNES FESTIVAL and did a little video with it (and others licences things), in the CAPCOM REPORTER #2!

UPDATE: First stand of 2015, i get 2 new laptops and i left the association where i was So i was able to send little paper with a link of a pack of the game (mm8bdm pack (mappack, doomseeker explainations, how to play online for french people ect..... ^^ It was pretty fun, but with 6 laptops, i mixed with DOOM (COOP) and MM8BDM (deathmatch), there was 3 laptops in LAN for MM8BDM, 3 for DOOM, and it was awesome:

It was hard to manage 6 laptops alone (im really tired now xDDDD) but it was awesoooome! :)

More stands are coming in 2015! ;) (but not only with mm8bdm ^^ )

Every time I watch one of the convention videos, I get this huge grin on my face. Thank you StoneFunk for all you have done to progress the community even further and, when I'm finally able to, I think I will hold convention stands for MM8BDM too here in TT. Probably not in the near future, but still when I'm able too.

Thank you very much ^^ Yeah, i try to show to the people, the good licences who deserve to be more known than now and who deserve to not die (like megaman yeah...), Megaman, Doom, Duke Nukem 3D (yeah, i wil host this one too!) ect....
The most important is to have a laptop who is enough powerful to make the server.... :)

Oh wow, this is awesome to see! It reminds me of when we demonstrated Mega Man 8-bit Deathmatch at SGC in 2010. Very cool of you to handle these setups and let others try it out.

Yeah, thank you, in the past, i had 4 laptops, but i bought 2 more to use some others games (3 and 3), it's more fun than showing 1 game x)
I could with 8 but could be hard to manage and to carry.... 6 is enough I think. :)

There was an other festival in this last weekend, the festival was in 3 parts: The first zone (big part), the LAN for videogames in the librairy part and an other part.
I was in the librairy and MM8BDM was wanted for 2015 too!
I hosted MM8BDM (with some mappacks) and Heretic. It was played specially in the afternoon!
