In the wake of Machinima's new youtube video:
linking to the MM8BDM download page, I propose we make the "forum" button a good deal more prominent. The forum is where all the interaction, support, guides, etc etc are, so why not make it easier and clearer to access?
To reference, this is the page I'm referring to.
http://cutstuff.net/mm8bdm/
Instead of the small "forum" button underneath the download banner, why not make a second flashy banner underneath it with something along the lines of "Forums, Troubleshooting, And Multiplayer" (Because that will totally fit on the banner) so that people know where to go to set up Doomseeker, get custom mods, and interact with other MM8BDM players, among other things? Just my two cents.

I'm suprised no-one posted on this topic yet. Either way, i'm personally not too sure if they'll notice or bother either way, let alone keep the site open or remember where they downloaded it from to check out its forums to play their shiney new game. Heck the first thing they'd probaly notice is that it has an launcher while attempting to start the game. May i suggest that perhaps the launcher gets a tab leading to the appropiate pages?
Maybe an Frequently Asked Questions (AKA a FAQ) list of the most common troubleshooting questions with the appropiate answer would aid the newbies alot too, if there isnt any yet.

Some "shameless advertisement" wouldn't hurt through say if Dr. Light or some other NPC says "Hey buddy! Why don't ya go visit cutstuff.net? A land of rainbow and candies with no monsters that'll bite yar head off." Or even an exit message would work too. In short addin' in those into the game is a way to increase awareness of the forums.

But that would only take them here. (http://www.cutstuff.net/)
Instead, use this. "http://www.cutstuff.net/forum/"
EDIT:
Nevermind, taking them to the core site is completely fine. It contains the rest of the whatever, if it's fine.

The whole point is that Cutstuff's link to the forums isn't as clear as it could be. If people could see the importance of the forums without needing to actually visit them, it'd make everything much smoother.
