Title: Darker skin?

I am hoping this is not the wrong place to post this.

Anyway, one thing I really would like for this forum (for the few rare times that I ever visit it) is a white-on-dark skin. I have to be honest, black on white hurts my eyes, and it makes it harder for me to use this forum. And also, the forum default skin has too many closely related color blends which also makes it hard for me to use.

I'm not suggesting a whole selection of skins like DRD Team because that makes add-ons a nightmare to maintain, just one or two extra ones with dark backgrounds that are easier on the eyes. Something like proBlack (http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/proBlack) might be nice. :)

Edit: Done, let me know if there's something wrong with it cause I can't stand using dark forum layouts  :cool:

However, it appears that reply is broken. All I get is a blank screen when I try it. I had to switch back to subsilver to reply to this. From my experience with phpBB3, I'm guessing it could be a template error.

Dammit, there's actually quite a few things broken with this one. I don't even know where to begin, the other theme just seemed to cooperate when I installed it :(

Maybe I'll just copy over DarkFantasy and change it up a little to make it EVENDARKERFantasy or something.

Ok I added a new one. This is seriously the darkest theme I've ever seen and it will make my eyes bleed if I have it on any longer. Test it out, if you can bear it!  :mrgreen:

Looks nice, but the fact that most of the board turns RGB(0,0,0) is a bit distracting.

Yeah, I would have to agree there... it functions ok at least, but the high contrast isn't any easier on my eyes. o.o But it does look nice.

Yeah, and maybe a lighter background - just a gentler contrast.

Sorry, I don't mean to be so picky with this! o.o I'll just go hide now...

Check out the new skin DVGFX and let me know if it's better. Still not to my taste but better than that hardcore black/white one!

Kinda like the darker skins... But I dislike profiles on the right side, and there's no place to change that. :(

Hmm, some forums (such as ZDoom's, which is phpBB3) have a "Show post profiles on: Left/Right" option. Would this be overly hard to implement? I kinda don't want to vote "left side" outright, as I know others perfer it the opposite, and I don't want to tread on their toes. ;)
