After seeing Ivory's Green Glass Door, I decided to run a similar game. Here you must try and get stuff through the Great Steel Gate. Certain things can go through but not others.
I can bring Mega Man Volnutt through, but not Mario.

Um, I return with the Mob Battalion(Iron Golem, Snowman, Zombie, Wither Skeleton, Pig Zombie, Ocelot, Wolf, Silverfish) and we all ride a giant horse made of iron.

I attempt to bring Dixie Kong, Eddie, Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, and an Enderman through the gate.

The rule already looks incredibly similar to the Green Glass Door, but I guess it isn't...
Regardless, I nudge an Amazy Dayzee (http://www.mariowiki.com/Amazy_Dayzee) through the door.

Part of the mob gets through; the Snowman and Wolf were sadly left behind.
I attempt to bring Dixie Kong, Eddie, Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, and an Enderman through the gate.
Dixie Kong, Eddie, Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, and the Enderman were able to get through.
Regardless, I nudge an Amazy Dayzee (http://www.mariowiki.com/Amazy_Dayzee) through the door.
The Amazy Dayzee is granted entry.

Elec Man, Time Man, Heat Man, Gemini Man, Wave Man, Blade Man, Flame Man, Search Man, Freeze Man, Sheep Man, and Honey Woman would like to enter.

The gate slams shut on Samus Aran.
Lucas, Kumatora, a Starman, Dr. Andonuts, Ness and a new-age retro hippie are approaching the gate.
Only Ness and the new-age retro hippie were allowed through.
I'll send a Dewott, a Tepig, a Deoxys, and Teemo's decapitated corpse through the gate.
The Dewott, Tepig, Deoxys heads on in. Teemo's corpse also slides through.
Elec Man, Time Man, Heat Man, Gemini Man, Wave Man, Blade Man, Flame Man, Search Man, Freeze Man, Sheep Man, and Honey Woman would like to enter.
Your good choice of Robot Masters have been approved by the gate and allows them all passage.

In the mean time, Bleak, Belcha, Kleever, Very Gnawty, Master Necky, and Queen B are bored so they try to go through the gate too.

I'll get an all-organic plant and a generic robot(the geometrical ones with simplistic designs and made of iron that rusts upon contact with water) to go through the door at the same time.

I don't want to go there so I'll just throw nades and fire bullets.

Fay Spaniel brings her cellphone through the gate with her.
I'll get an all-organic plant and a generic robot(the geometrical ones with simplistic designs and made of iron that rusts upon contact with water) to go through the door at the same time.
The generic robot rolls on through but the all-organic plant is denied entry.
I don't want to go there so I'll just throw nades and fire bullets.
The nades pass through the gate and explode on the other side while the bullets are shot through inbetween the bars of the gate. Yay.

the U-Team consists of Myself(including tne redesign), Leo Alex, Snivy, Chuck Norris, Break Man MK II, Iris MK III, Tepig, Alistair (from Dragon Age: Origins), Micheal Jackson, And Bill Reilly Spider Man.
Oh, and we have about Two hundred and Six cacti seeking refuge from the War between The U-Team and Several pokemons. we called it... World War U.

But was denied access... which means he didnt get the scoop and couldnt get a proper story written for the Cutstuff Times Newspaper. However, after that door was destroyed, he heard about the Great Steel Gate. And he decided to try and enter...
If he enters, I will let him join the U-Team. Together...we shall stop the pokemon threat
and, other refugees would like to enter as well, The people affected by WWU are Mr. Rogers, Zer0(borderlands 2), La Fregadero, Scott Pilgrim, Bill the Knife, The Wonder Twins, Multiple Puyo(s?), Your Favorite Martian(that century old band), Copy X, Dracula, Simon Belmont(woah, him and Drac in the same place!? >.>), and Siegfred. may these refugees enter?

I'ma throw in Blur through the door with Cliffjumper. Even though Blur died in Transformers Animated and got turned into a cube. He might have been fixed

Here's my guess(apologies to future posts because if this is right, the game will cut short):
The gate will only allow anything with at least one E in it.
Like the name Great Steel Gate.
(Example from my first try)When my Mob Battalion were riding an iron horse through the gate, Wolf and Snowman(actually Snow Golem) were not allowed and they lack any E's, while the rest of the Battalion have at least one.
Edit: Maybe someone gussed this/found this out before me. And uh, did I break the rules or the code with this guess?
If not, I'll put in these blocks in:Iron, Gold, Diamond, Lapis Lazuli and Emerald.

Let me try that.
Morrigan and Lilith from Darkstalkers, Adol Christin from Ys, Luigi and Bowser from Mario, the R-9Ø Ragnarok from R-Type III, CATS and a Zig from Zero Wing, Magissa from Final Fantasy V and Cthulu and Hastur want to enter the gate.
And I'll just kick TFPBreakdown towards the gate to test if E's work.

Well, my Slip Shot (http://oyster.ignimgs.com/mediawiki/apis.ign.com/kid-icarus-uprising/d/d5/Slip_Shot.png) can pass throgh the Great Steel Gate if i shoot a Continues fire or a Charged Shot for no reason.
