Well im glad you started the expansion but can i be part of the team i will Think to make a other MMV Skin plus there is already Jupiter, Uranus and Venus skins.

All the official Stardroid colors can be found in the official art / MM&B Database.

Also, FTX didn't do all of those skins.

also there's no way in hell FTX did all those skins, give credit where credit is due, son
Star Dood and ForteGigasGospel worked their asses off and that's rude to give it all to FTX

Hey, Mega Man V's resurrection! I was saddened by the slow death of the old expansion so it's good to see new work being done on this. If you need any botchats I had them all done from the old expansion, though I see somebody else is doing them here now.

Why thank you Smash, but um, I didn't do any skins for MMV.  DOS on the other hand, yes we worked our asses off on those skins and even got a little bit of help on the ones we didn't do ourselves.

Also Gemini, to answer your poll I'll do it here, as Terra and Dark Moon did not have very large stages, or even a lot of textures I would recommend skipping them as maps, do the 8 main bosses and the Wily Star. Have the textures Nemz made for Terra used in a hidden boss battle against him in the style of Enker, Punk, Ballade, Duo and Megaman? (in PU expansion). Defeating Terra will grant you Spark Chaser at the start of the rest of the matches in similar style.

Maybe, but there are better ways to make a simple map other than using rehashed tripe. Be original and do new things. There's more to mapping than just copying layouts from other games, and in an expansion, I believe that should remain especially true. I mean, as a player, I'd expect new stuff from an expansion. I'd be disappointed to see something I've already played, and even if I didn't, Dead Simple is quite boring.

To reinforce Smash's statement, I most certainly did bust my ass on Neptune and Saturn. I would like to be given credit, to be honest (at least for Neptune because I was lazy on Saturn)
I also might claim a map for this later on if I get better at it. We'll see

I remember it was Wily Castle 6 from MM3, the one that used the white textures and had only one room before the final battle. Don't remember who did it, though.

I think I'm gonna do Jupiter, don't expect work soon as I have other obligations right now such as the Map Compo.  Also don't expect a unique gimmick, as Star Man already uses the gimmick Jupiter did (In MMV Jupiter had low grav outside and normal inside).

Also a suggestion for whoever does Saturn, make it sort of similar to Gravity (as Grav's gimmick is already similar to Saturns) and have some areas of the map with high grav and some with low grav. Just a suggestion though.

Okay, I'd like to reserve mercury's stage for myself, and I might even code the grab buster, if someone else hasn't done it somewhere in the community or already called it. does shots that do about 15 damage and restore 5 health sound like a good idea? The first part sounds really easy, might ask Neo or someone else to help if i have trouble with the life restore properties. I also think there should be a Mega Arm upgrade, but that's up to you.

As the first thing I've seen you do, it isn't that bad, but on the flip side, it isn't that great either.
You didn't use his natural stand frame for his stand, instead using the frame he would go into RIGHT before dissolving. And it looks off to anyone who knows the game well.
Also I hate to break it to you but the run cycle really lacks, no arm movement looks really weird. I know it is the "lazy" way but I personally think the blob cycle would have looked better then what you have for the run cycle. I'm not saying use the blob movement cycle though, spice up that run.
A second fire frame is not needed in this instance.
The Hurt frame is good though I think.

yeah i think that he should have moviment in the arms as well, but mercury only moves when he is a ball of metal...so i think that he is lazy enough to don't move the arms. and i have maked a prototype with mercury moving as a ball but i don't liked enough :lol:

Trust me, make the arms move, it looks very odd without that doing so.
Also try changing his stand frame, every other robot master's stand frame is their idle frame from the games.

Did you consider that he has real life stuff to do right now or just hasn't come on? I'd hardly call missing 2-3 days an expansion threat.
For Example, I only edit my map topic every few weeks to account for the new map finished, but is that dead? No, it's still WIP.
Just don't say this is a dead expansion with only a few days of inactivity, that just isn't right.

The side view arms on Mercury are just killing me man.  They shouldn't be straight down like that, but rather have a bend at the elbow.  Missing this 'hidden' length due to perspective is why his arms look stubby from the side right now.

Actually I merged terra with darkmoon stage and some of the asteroids from the following level made it into the skybox.  Wily has his own texture set.

And how does that affect the thread? I just take a break from Cutstuff and get as much work possible done, i was obviously lazy and didn't work on Pluto's stage, and i'm still working on Venus's tileset.

the glaring issue is that your center platforms / ceiling hole thing aren't centered with the rest of the stage

meaning it's asymmetrical and it looks bad

Looking at the blueprints, Pluto's map looks like it has flow issues. It has three different sides to it which all appear to be the same shape. The rooms are rather large and don't really connect to one another very well, so this can be a very confusing map. I'm not against symmetry, but when you have three way symmetry that doesn't link very well, it can be problematic I think.

Venus' map doesn't really look bad in any way, but it looks a little linear and plain. I'd suggest adding a couple more rooms around the bottom.
Also, looking at the screenshot, it looks like you have a lot of height variation in the map. Which isn't necessarily bad, but I don't really see any easy stairs or ladders for those platforms..

Venus's map lighting is all 255. And i can add stairs!

AHA

No wonder you're having problems

All textures must be scaled to 0.5 in order to be the correct size. Thus, if you have a texture that's 32x32 in paint or what not, you must rescale it accordingly to 64x64 by putting the correct x and y scale measurements.

If you didn't do that, I can show you, it's rather easy to do.

So this mod should be the best thing ever because I still geek like a little bitch over the Stardroids and if we're still contributing...

Unfortunately, I have no coding or mapping skills whatsoever, so skins are my thing. I was already planning on doing Mars, and I can definately do more if needed. I can skin the hell out of everything and make enemy actors and such if one is so inclined to add such things to maps.

Also, correct me if this has been addressed, but why not use those MMV weapons that were already made awhile ago? I believe it one of Lego's packs?
