Robot Masters Challenge
RMC will be a Single Player/Coop map where the players will face every Megaman 1 Robot Masters in succession, gaining their weapons as they defeats them to ultimately defeat them all.

The players will begin in the Teleportation room where they will be able to select which robot master they want to start with. The room will contains 6 teleporters identified by pictures of the robot master on each sides and a abundant amount of ammo and health for when they return.

Upon entering a teleporter, the players will be sent to the respective robot master's section. Where they will face against waves of enemies corresponding to the level (much like Skulltag's Invasion mode. I can't script for my life, I would need help with this ). Once the players defeated all the monsters, the robot master will appear for an epic one on one. Upon defeat, the robot master will drop his respective weapon and the teleporter will activate so the players can exit the section, recover and set out for the next chalenge Again, might need scripting which I can't do.

So in technicality, this is meant to be a campagin/invasion map?

You really don't need to quote the entire first post when you're the second post...
But it sounds like a cool idea. Hopefully the AI isn't too smart or you'd be dead if you lost enough health.

but he always does it... :geek:

Don't get me wrong but, isn't this going to be made by someone else?

Not as far as I know. I'm making that one independently from the current campaign project.

Kinda. It wouldn't really work as an invasion map because of the setup. Every section is inside the same level so the "Invasion events" would have to be triggered separately every time you enter a section as opposed to have the server run in invasion mode.
By the way, cutman's section is almost done (The layout). I just need to play in it a bit, see what's missing, etc...

The campaign mode is similar to this. Only the Campaign mode will have levels and stuff. We'll be adding some surprises as well.
-
I hope they're my favorite kind of surprises: Mild! :p
-
you should include a wily machine boss fight after all robot masters are beaten
-
We'll be doing that only its more like...
Just imagine playing through all the megaman games as FPS games. That means that you will have to fight yellow devil, the wily machines, the works.
-
Fight me!
Although you'd have to rework most of the fight... it wouldn't work well in 3D.
-
Oh no! hes using Teleprotation to get across the room with blobs that hurt me in classic fashion!...*side steps to the left*
-
Uh, yeah... haha, I forgot about that...
-
i wonder if there is a way to make the copy megaman use the same skin as you when you fight it

Well you could fight him in a small room. A room so small that the Yellow Devil is the size of the wall. Actually, the Yellow Devil could BE the wall. You'd fight him head on.
-
Jumping and avoiding the blobs could be difficult if they're as fast as they are in the original game. They'd have to be slowed down a slight bit for it to work out, as I don't think we'd want to change the actual jump height or speed of our avatars.
-
Well, judging by my 2D appearance I move in waves. If the waves are as wide as the room I'm in, like floating bars, it could be an epic battle of jumping and crouching.

Sounds good to me.

This project will fail, and not make sense unless you add a bunch of enemies throughout the map. Like those little robots with the construction helmets, etc... Kill a bunch of them and various other enemies from the Megaman games, and then.... spawn a boss fight. It's make more sense than just fighting a boss.
