Note: Due to the amount of embarrassment currently in this mod, I wanna kindly ask to wait next version to download this. I am currently updating this with new stuff as well as a LOT of changes.

Saxton Hale Classes (originally by Otaku Alex)

As already explained in Otaku's previous thread, Hale Classes basically makes the hales into playable classes. After he quit working on this, I decided to take over and see what I could do to make it better.

Looks like I found your thread, Frags. Er, ChaosUnlimited I should say now. I guess I should put a link in my thread so that people can find this more easily. BTW, you might want to nerf Sonic's HP for balancing purposes and fix Hitler's rage so that the gas doesn't spawn only once. I'd love to see what you do with my first MM8BDM mod and if it could end up being just as good as the real Saxton Hale, so keep up the work. Also, it would be wise to post something here everytime you update in order to bump the thread.

Oh, I already fixed Hitler's rage in the current version. Also, I plan on looking into the health thing. The reason why I decided to increase the hale health in the first place so that some attacks wouldn't OHKO, but could still deal decent damage.

For my first bump of this thread, I present music packs of a few albums by ThePlasmas, MM1, 6, and Zero albums. I uploaded them to BE, but if someone would rather upload them somewhere else like MediaFire or something, be my guest.

BE is the best place to upload wads, PK3's, and PK7's. It's best to keep it there. Also, if you're gonna make a separate Thingz file for your wad, it's best to remove the music so that people can download it faster.

If it's okay to put the music in a separate music pack, then I suppose so. I'd like some way to keep the music intact somehow for anyone that wanted to changemus to a certain hale theme.

Also, it seemed that I accidentally changed Gilgamesh's rage back to Rocket punch (when I had it changed to Bitter End), so I'm gonna see about either putting up a poll to decide which one people like better, or come up with a way to make him have both somehow, maybe?

Yeah, I'm gonna hope you fixed the mus packs because I looked back at them after I was done working on them and noticed I mixed up a few of the tracks.

Update! A thanks to Jax for telling me how to deal with the skin issue, so now Ninja, Gilgamesh, and GOSM have their proper skins. Also, I decided to add the R3 version of Gilgamesh since he had Bitter End for rage, so no more need to decide which rage you'd prefer. This and other stuff are in the updated changelog.

Oh, almost forgot to mention. I went ahead and put the music in a separate music pack for download (partially for room). I'm likely gonna include this in my Hale Class servers anyway.

Edit: there appeared to be an issue with some of the music files, so I put them back in the thingz file and they worked fine. Odd.

The hales can't pick health capsules at a certain moment :/ They have like a "health pickup" limit
It must have something to do with Player.MaxHealth or something

I've been wondering why it did that. :/ Thanks for telling me something and I'm gonna go look back at that.

Edit: I just figured out the issue. Otaku originally edited the health and energy files to work with the hales differences in health/energy, so for the health part, I had to change inventory.maxamount to 1000 (which is the maxamount I set for all the hales excluding Sonic). One thing I haven't figured out yet, though, was how to get E, W, and M tanks to work for them. :/

Okay, I just updated the file so the health pickups will do like they're supposed to. As of now, I have a small list of other things I'd  like help figuring out.

1. Fix it so that hales can use E, W, and M tanks (as I mentioned in the above post).

And 2. Make hales unable to pick up weapons (this caused a glitch with Quote where he couldn't charge his spur).

I had this Idea... but I'd like some input on this. I thought of altering some of the weapons the hales use to make into copyweps. Poll on first page.

I don't know.. If the weapons were balanced versions of the boss's attacks then i'd be cool with it, but they're direct copy-pastes of hale attacks in wep form, i won't be amused.

First part is correct. What I wanted to do was take a unique weapon from each hale (this includes rage attacks) and alter them a little to use like a regular weapon.

Oh, sorry. And i asume morshu's wep is gonna be his bombs, or is it gonna be something else, since you know... Morshu's bombs are essentially an unbalanced hyper bomb.

Uhm this isn't like the gamemode. xD Not trying to put this rude, but did you read the info on the first page correctly?

Edit: I mean, this mod takes the hales from the gamemode and uses them like classes instead (which is wrote on the first page, of course). This is usable for DM, LMS, and modes and stuff like that since it's a class pack. Sorry if you didn't understand.

True, but what sense would it make making Hale classes compatible with the Hale gamemode if you can pick what hale you wanna be anyway? XD

Note: Rebirth/Regulars only drop the same weapon because they don't have any other unique(-ish) weapons (this is obvious anyway -_-).

Sonic's rage is too overpowered/cheap. You have to edit it or do something.
