Title: Mod Monday (Weekly Event)

Hello, all! Due to how little attention multiple mods are getting, I decided to invent what I like to call 'Mod Monday'. Basically, a mod that's not-so-popular will get picked and hosted on the server in order to boost its popularity, it will be hosted until the end of the day.

The mod may be anything that's not Saxton Hale (as much as I love it) or YD Classes.
I only say this due to them being the most popular MM8BDM mods hosted on servers, of course.

I'll put up a poll of mods to be hosted and you guys vote, yadaydaydaya, on Monday the server will be hosted.


Oh, I just realized that if I don't lay down all the rules in an orderly list, the same mod could easily get voted for every week or somethin' similar.

Sounds like a neat idea. If this go's anywhere than my suggestions are either KY classes or the Rockman no Constancy expansion mod.

OK, I could probably fit those in with most of the options listed. I haven't really played much of KY Classes, so this will be interesting for me.

I wasn't aware of that existing. -looks for it- You mean this (http://www.cutstuff.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=6216)? It doesn't seem to similar. As far as I can tell, they're both weekly events, but that's about it. Unless his is all about promoting mods and having user choices, I don't see the issue.

OK, well ya got me there. However, the only PWAD I see is a map pack, so that's different. If there's anything that makes these weekly events similar aside from polls and them being, well, weekly events, then maybe I'll see my 'Mod Monday' as a dumb idea, but for now I'll just carry on with this.

Not really. AMP hasn't been hosted in forever either. It's why I put it on my DIRP server.

Fine, fine. I guess they are similar, but they're still different. While both exclude Saxton, mine also exclused YD Classes. I don't mention map packs as an option. Besides, they take place on different days, lets just say that it's two chances a week to support non-popular mods. Plus, one of these is bound to die eventually.

Anyways, back to the matter of this thread. KY Classes was mentioned, is everyone OK with playing KY Classes with whatever mod (probably Screw Scramble since it's winning the poll flawlessly), or would you guys prefer sticking with the vanilla class only?

It's true, there is a lot of modes who can work well only if there isnt classes mode.

I voted MMBattle&Chase but can it be a good mode, i mean, "Not broken".....

Yeah, Balrog some time ago hosted a Terminator server, boy it was sure so different from Saxton Hale and the casual.

I voted for Screw Scramble and Chaos Generator :I I want so much to play again Hard Man's stage with the "party weapons", "double speed", and "drain HP" chaos :P

I never forget to do anything, except shower, eat, and sleep

My pals are also pretty good at remembering, as far as I can tell.

It's a bit early in the morning, but the server is up. Have fun.

I'll try adding more mods to the list for the vote that will effect next week.

Also, for future reference, if a mod that has been hosted the week before gets hosted in the current week, 2nd place on the poll will get chosen.

Nope, this is failing. Please ignore thread unless something finally happens today in the server.

If something FINALLY happens, I'll post saying there'll be another one next week. If not, I ignore this thread and let it die.
